Holo Pleasures is great but I enjoy Mickey's Dead a lot more. Tell me what you think of it when you get the chance!

That's good to hear! Listen to Mickey's Dead by Elvis Depressedly if you get the chance, you might like it.

i'm also doing a live radio show on KY public radio if you're down for some metal/hxc. it'll devolve into shoegaze/ambient/indie in half an hour or so tho :P

gladly! i've got a few projects on a few diff labels. The Night Wars is a side project of mine, kinda downtempo/shoegaze/electronica. An Occasion for Balloons is my "band" kinda thing. and Leaaves is what i'm most recently busy with — a foray into ambient/sound collage stuff. all the stuff's free so help yourself if you like it!

That's cool, I was planning on recommending Yuppies to you but I'm too late I guess. I found out about them through Andrew Savage(Parquet Courts)'s label Dull Tools. You should check out Andrew's other band, Fergus & Geronimo. They make experimental rock and their music is full of cool ideas, you might like it. Their album Funky Was The State Of Affairs is a trip similar to the way Yuppies' S/T is a trip. You should give the rest of Juan Wauter's album a chance, I thought it was a fun listen. You should also check out Surf Curse, they're a cool surf/garage rock band like Jurassic Shark but in my opinion better song writing. I never get tired of their music. Nick Rattigan(SC Drummer/Singer) has really great solo releases under the name TELE/VISIONS. Similar to Elvis Depressedly except it's a bit more sincere. If you want to hear someone pour their heart out, he's your guy. That's all I can come up with atm, I don't really know most of your top artists. Which do you think I would like?

well isn't this a cornucopia of jams. psych, garage, new wave, few beats thrown in for good measure... all my favorite bands in every genre. i'd trade ipods with ya. any recommendations? something weird enough that someone with the almost same exact taste as you wouldn't have heard yet?

thanks for the reminder on Secular Joy! just visited the Bandcamp page. the Prefabs' Burger tape is scheduled for 9/24. the new sessions are going great too...may be done mixing by the end of this month -- and then the task is finding a label. would love to do it on Hozac, Trouble In Mind, or Burger. hope you're having a boss summer!

Long time no see So, I've been rocking out to Ty Segall and noticed on their page that you're the top listener among my friends. Any other good similar artists you can recommend for me? Cheers

Active Child was quite good, didn't realize their show came with effects...fog, lights, props etc. ha I also feel dumb for not knowing..he actually plays the harp. Balam Acab sounded great, but putting the projector screen in front of the stage while he was performing was a bit awkward. looking forward to Xiu Xiu w/ Dirty Beaches tomorrow. I love the Jackpot
