Hey girl the reason I shouted you out a while back I was going to tell you my thoughts on Xandria's album Sacrificium (by the way I love the new record) so I had been listening to it since last year the previous one and the storyline puts me in mind of Alexander the Great's life willtell you which songs stand out for me on this theory, how are you in the meantime???

I couldn't get into Sacrificium just as I don't like the new one that much. I don't think they can surpass Neverworld's End but we'll see :) Last time I saw them live was years ago with Manuela so it will be interesting to see how they fare with Dianne. I haven't heard anything that impressive in the symphonic genre lately actually; One thing I'm really looking forward is Tuomas' project (Auri) as well as Delain's DVD as I attended the concert :D Other than that I'm doing great, still two months of pregnancy to go but I'm making the most of it :)

Hey dear :) As expected, I've been away as well. Not to mention that I do not have time to listen to music all that much lately, and rarely something manages to keep my attention these days. The wedding was at the end of May, I had amazing time with it and the subsequent trip :) I can send you some pictures if you want, just let me know. I hope you've been doing well! Don't hesitate to write back as soon as you find some spare time. Hugs!

Hi! I am glad to hear your reply! I'm wondering if there is an app for lastfm to use for shoutbox. Happy belated wedding wishes!!!!! I would certainly like you to send me some pics! My summer has had many distractions for me but I am doing ok. I will send you my new email with gmail since I rarely use my yahoo anymore. Hope to hear from you again soon.

P.S. Since you mentioned music I'm sure you've heard the awful news of Ailyn's departure as well as Liv. Although I'm wondering who will be a new singer for Sirenia. By the way that 2014 Xandria release quite grew on me even though I was dissapointed over Manuella. I really like Diane's vocals. Also Epica's new release I see you have been listening how is it? I have only heard one song.....my reaction is just meh....I guess I'll have to hear the whole thing

Hey dear! Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. Lost of new things around me, work specialization, possible relocation, etc. Good times! I was unable to locate your emails though... I have the older once with Amaranthe photos but not these :( Hope it's not much of a problem. How have you been lately?

Hey! ^^ I'm still in Japan, flying back on Saturday and then we'll have a day in Rome. I'll make sure to check about the photos when I get home even though that mail server suffered a couple of recent issues. Which email did you send them from? Also, I'll get back to you with a longer reply and a comment about your classes. In other news, yesterday my guy proposed and we're engaged. We were in Okinawa. Planning up the wedding for the first quarter of 2016 :) That's it from me for now but I'll get in touch with you soon.

Hey dear :) Thanks for the message. You didn't mention any classes, what's that about? Tell me more! I have Enya's album here, was just thinking of giving it a try. I don't expect anything new but she's a walking trademark anyway. In the meantime, I'm completely in love with the new Avantasia. There's a ballad with Sharon that I'm sure you'll love. It's called 'Isle of Evermore' and it sounds more like a WT song, if you don't count Tobias' voice. The track with Marco, 'Master of the Pendulum', is mind-blowing. The whole album is fantastic, actually. Really unexpected after the previous one. It will be out in January but keep it at the back of your mind. I agree that Last.Fm doesn't slow as much on the phone. That's good, I barely have the time to log in from the PC these days. Now tell me about those classes! :)

I'm good, preparing for a trip here at the beginning of November. Switched jobs recently, started working for the local Google branch, just got out of two months of training and nesting. Nice vibes, the team is fantastic too. Plus I cover the shift I always wanted, from 15:00 to 00:00. It's a bit of a social killer but then again, I hate early mornings. And there's always a weekend unless I'm on a weekend rotation shift. It was quite hard at the beginning due to everyone being a tech-savvy but I'm starting to get the real hang of it. Can't complain, really! :)

Exactly. I've never liked extremities, everything that is excessive disgusts me, especially lately. Takes just a word of blind faith in any field, be it religion, politics or other social matters and you'll most likely see the last of me. It usually scares me at first, then there's the anger and the last self-preservation way out. I try to stay clear of such people if I can.

The Fountain is one of my ultimate favourites :) I remember seeing Agora, Rachel Weisz was perfect in that role. A nice movie overall. So you've never visited a country like that, then? The mosques are interesting in many ways, architecture is just one of them. But I wouldn't stay too long, haha. Sometimes there's a sense of blind fanaticism and obedience in the air and that's never good. I'm glad you like the artwork, the whole picture is pretty rad, actually. Every time I look into it, a new detail pops up.

As for TQE's artwork, read this interview when you have the time. It's explained thoroughly there. To summarize it from the bigger artwork, there's the life/death cycle, the spiritual and material, religious beliefs and science and, as Simone says, everything that goes in between. Here's the experiment it's all based on. It's something I'm quite interested in. Let's say it opens many doors. If you haven't seen the full artwork they mention, check it out here.

That's a tricky question :D He was born in Berlin but spent just two years there. His mother is a Bulgarian like me but his father is Jordanian, his family still lives there. So he definitely has Arab blood, at least halfway. Spent several years in Jordan before moving to England to finish high school, then moved here and got his university degree. I've known him for eight years and we've even worked together in a previous company but we just 'clicked' this April. So he's a wild mixture of cultures and traditions, I can listen to those tales forever. Just yesterday he was telling me about certain customs that sound so alien to me but it's natural.

I'll see the series, then :) In two weeks I'll be in Paris but after that I'll check it out. I have just enough time before a long one in November - my dream trip, to finish everything I have left here. As for Blue Eyes, I guess this is a personal interpretation. First, the infamous Afghan girl has green eyes. Also, even the introduction about the band being pagan was way off so I can only view it as an essay based on someone's perspective. Come to think about it, the beginning of the track (Blue eyes just smile to the world/Full of dreams and with fascination/Too soon she saw that her hands were chained/And pulled without any freedom) always made me think about women's 'rights' in certain countries. My boyfriend comes from a place like this and the things he tells me are enough to make my blood run cold. What might seem exotic is usually ugly under the surface, that much he made clear. WT is fairly interested in religion so this fits their topics, actually.

Hey you :) Not yet but that's the second time in a row when it's being mentioned to me in about a week or two. So I guess it's worth checking out? I barely even have the time now since I'm almost always on the run or travelling these days but I'd see it if it's worth it. How have you been? I went to Masters of Rock in the Czech Republic btw. Saw Nightwish, WT, Delain, Kamelot, The Gentle Storm and crapload of other bands. See if you can access the pics we took :) Here.

Prince Lestat is awesome, get to it as soon as you can :D Really, it's a great read for fans of her classics. I hoped Sirenia would grow on me but it didn't click so far. Not that it's a bad album in itself, just wanted to hear something more based on their recent upgrade. And yep, I expect major differences in GoT series from now on. Did you read that the series will actually end the saga before Martin even finishes the books? I have to see the whole Salem season, put it on hold for some time now. As for Turn, is it good? And how about in terms of historical accuracy, is there some or is it just completely fictional? I'm picky when it comes to this particular subject.

Hey dear :) I'm doing fine, how about you? Winter is gradually over, it feels like summer already. It's 25 degrees these days. I have Sirenia but it didn't do much for me save for three tracks - one that sounds completely oldschool (Elixir), then there's the epic (Sons of the North) and a more techy one (The Silver Eye). The rest doesn't build up at all and it's very much on the safe side so I definitely prefer Perils than this record overall. Nightwish is quite good! Took me a while to let it sink in but I like it a lot now. It's all thanks to last track, haha. I took it from there and little jewels like Weak Fantasy, Alpenglow etc. made it grow on me even more. The setlist from the recent live gigs is fantastic too, they reintroduced Stargazers and Floor's version of Sleeping Sun is the best I've heard, even better than the original. Btw, did you see the first four episodes of Game of Thrones? From that major recent leak?

Happy New Year! ^^ Wish you all the best in 2015, my dear! :) Thanks for the recommendation, I checked it out and it sounds interesting, never really read anything about that. Also, the series trailer is fantastic, will definitely watch it these days. Wonderful to see GoT's Iain Glen (Jorah Mormont) there, haha. Come to think of it, GoT actors are literally all over the place right now. There's Charles Dance (Tywin) in The Imitation Game and Sophie Turner (Sansa) in Another Me to begin with :D

Aye, she's fond of that corset these days :D I love it too. They didn't include Jillian on Elements but just look at the recent setlist! O.o They brought back Jillian, The Promise AND Hand of Sorrow. All the covers are missing as well as Never-Ending Story, Memories and Our Farewell. I think it's due to technical issues, not sure how they turned out when they filmed them in the end. I'm mostly sorry about Our Farewell as it was a fantastic duet. Well, you know I'm more or less biased since I attended the Elements gig. Thing is (and you'll also see it on the DVD), it's nothing like BS. The latter is what you;d expect from a grand symphonic metal performance - tight and done as if by the books. Elements is more of a band effort and the thing that defines it as such for me is its diversity and dynamics which Let Us Burn has in abundance. You see, while we were there, there was always something (or several things) literally happening EVERYWHERE simultaneously so you don't even know where to look at first. You see Sharon changing her outfits in the blink of an eye, Robert making a spectacular entrance, good ol' George, dancers, orchestral stuff, stilt performers, wings etc. Thanks to the unusual interior design, the band goes all the way to the middle of the audience in the standing zone and commands the stage in a superb way. This and more but I won't spoil it for you. You really have to see it for yourself :)

Still waiting for King's Revival but Prince Lestat is here to keep me company ;) So far, so good. As for Lovecraft, I never actually understood why The Case of Dexter Ward is considered one of his best works. It's not nearly as interesting. Good luck with it... unless you already moved on to something better, of course. Glad you like the photos, we took much more but those are the best imo.

Nah, haven't heard anything. I reckon it's just another scam, otherwise we would've received the 'farewell from Last.FM' PMs by now :D King's novel is, according to the press reviews, extremely dark and Lovecraftian. If that's the case, I'll enjoy it like hell. Also, please check if you got the seven emails I sent you. Six containing Tristania and one with Sarah's pics and links :)

Can't say yet, I'm in the middle of the Elements gig here. It's wonderful to relive it in its full scale! ^^ Don't think Lacrimosa is included on CD2, they started playing it later from what I recall. Ailyn already recorded the vox for the album, not sure when the press release is coming though. As for King's book, it's Revival, his 'return' to his niche, so to speak. Last book I read was a good thriller but Revival brings promise of something pitch-black.

I will! ^^ Spoiler-free, of course. It should arrive soon. Expecting this and the new Stephen King novel, both should keep me busy for a while. As for Sarah, it was one of her last concerts on earth before her flight to the international space station. Hey :) Tonight I'll send you the Tristania pics and add some of Sarah's show last night. Note that the latter aren't mine or anything but still, it'd be nice for you to take a look. The concert was amazing, her voice is in excellent shape. I didn't really hope to hear her reach those heights on the Phantom... or A Question of Honour but she literally nailed them. The orchestra was great too, our own musicians from the national radio. I'm still kinda overwhelmed. Also, Prince Lestat should drop in my mail any minute now.
