so, eh, I see. bast shoes(or lapty in russian) would be also a weird thing to wear. ofcourse nowadays we use them as an exhibit in museums only. thanks for appreciating the charts = ) valenoks are popular among the people who live in the country and the old folks who live in small towns.

Voivod is worth checking out unfortunately I think the band folded with the death of Piggy back in 2005. Here's my opinion of their best albums: 3. Rrröööaaarrr (1986) 2. Killing Technology (1987) 1. Dimension Hatröss (1988) 4. Nothingface (1989) - I lot of people like this album the best because they do a Pink Floyd cover. They are a mix of thrash and alternative/progessive metal. They use lot of sci-fi themes, Jason Newstead didn't play on any of these albums cuz he was in Flotsam and Jestsam and then Metallica. I think he played on their last two releases.

What up? Thanks for the shout! I don't hate Metallica, I love the first three albums but they just got so big so fast it kind of made them mainstream even back in the day. Once I realized there were a whole bunch of thrash bands out there I never heard before I just never looked back. Megadeth just happened to be the best of those "not Metallica" bands. Hey I couldn't help but notice your are from Canada, lots of great bands came out of there. Voivod was a kick ass thrash band or have you ever heard of Gorguts - great death metal band from Canada, the orgins of technical death metal if you asked me. CONSIDERED DEAD - great album by them. I can't tell if you like glam metal at all but another great group was the Killer Dwarfs their album STAND TALL is one of the best glam albums of all time, very underrated group.

Thanks you have great charts too! Although I only recognize some :) I was looking for older country or newer alternative country (especially deathcountry and gothic americana).

Well for me it's really simple. I grew up listening to country, and I grew to love and appreciate metal. So it's just a simple convergence of past and present for me. But, yeah, it's an interesting connection to come by naturally, isn't it?

I like the About Me, sir, and I appreciate your taste in music. Country and metal make a fine combination, in my opinion.

Hello! Yes being married to a recording artist is a blast, and a lot of work... but I enjoy every minute of it and it's not everyday someone that came from very little can say "Yep, that's my husband on stage right there..." :) It's awesome and I look forward to him going far, but even if he makes one person besides me smile or dance while he's on stage it's all worth it. It makes him happy to make others happy... :)

I got it off of Amazon. It's only like $14 and comes with a DVD and booklet in a slick book-like case.
