I enjoyed your recent posts on NYC Popfest. I'm Very flattered that you've asked for some help on the questions. It must be a very busy time for you right now ;) I'm going to make it a mission to see if any questions I'd pose would be worthy of your legendary blog. We'll see if it leads to anything. Ha probably not a good time to ask where you're at with the podcast then...

I'm just an indie pop fan. Generally a music obsessive :) An album' worth of music + live tracks. There's a market for it and the Train Set's sound! One day hopefully. I found Tw useful for exactly that--getting music info, updates. Plus a great community of like-minded people has made me come on here less over time. I will have to catch up on your latest blog post, I'm not familiar with the Lemon Sleepers so naturally I'm intrigued.

TY for the follow. It's ok I got my answer, and more! I came across the Train Set by accident last year. Someone shared a video on twitter and one listen was all it took. I didn't realize you'd posted an interview (and how'd I miss that that?) though I can't tell what year it was posted. Fabulous as I hope more people discover them. I was hoping to read more songs would surface or a retrospective would follow. There is one lone video on YT of them, it's a rare sighting! Have you seen it? The poster taped the entire gig and may upload more. http://youtu.be/vDMCL7_Fy6g We already follow each other on Tw I'm myrtleleaf :)

oh, your website looks nice! do you know trev oddbox? we (city yelps) have a 7" on oddbox records! I agree that Indietracks is the best festival, everyone is nice, the campsite is great and I always get a cool tote bag haha. I'm doing a postdoc in language acquisition, but no, no gigs in Amherst, and no record shops :(

that's so cool! what brings you to Indietracks then? I'm visiting UMass at Amherst - not Boston unfortunately, my events column is more of a wish list...

I think you may be completely out of luck when it comes to decent gigs in Boston at the end of the month. There actually doesn't seem to be anything happening at all! I may actually be around the city on that Saturday (the 27th, I think?) so if you want someone to show you around, let me know! :)

Sure, no problem! And I definitely will! I have a bigger trip planned this summer and wasn't going to go to Popfest, but changed my mind when I saw the lineup. Can't pass that up :)

I'll definitely see if there's anything happening around that time and let you know :) I'm hoping to come to NYC for Popfest in May/June, finances permitted!

I'd be more than happy to help! :) The Megabus is a wonderfully cheap thing - it's my means of getting to NYC this summer. Do you have any specific dates in mind? I'll try to see what's going on around here.

I hope the weather improves by the time you're here! My favorite record store in the city actually closed down a few months ago, unfortunately. I live a bit too far outside of the city so I haven't been to any of these record shops in awhile, but I remember there being a few in Cambridge that are all right. Perhaps Nuggets, Twisted Village, or In Your Ear are worth checking out. What's bringing you this far up the east coast?

Hi Roque! Could you please tell me if the Garlands song 'weakness is your pose' is publicly available? Or is something Cloudberry is going to release soon?

oh dear that's a lot of money, it's really time you moved to sweden, roque! i'm slightly ashamed of my popfest failure and was actually hoping that my absence goes unnoticed so i'd never have to talk about it. hehe. oh well! but who knows maybe there's some kind of indiepop god out there and i get to see you at indietracks!
