I'm not the least bit surprised that our compatibility is super ;) Though I should really listen to more Andrew Bird!

Aw, I'm jealous, Jónsi didn't come to Oregon his 2nd time around so I would've had to spend $300 on gas to see him again :( They were certainly the best shows I saw this year though!

Sure did :D I caught both of them actually! Though I caught the spring Jónsi tour, not the fall one.

Hey Jared, I'm using a piece of your quote in my piece. If that's not okay, let me know. Also, I only know your first name, so if you'd like your last name to be included, I can make that happen. As is, it will read, "Gallivan frequent Jared stated about the quality of bands playing the series, 'It always surprises me with its line-up. I mean, I always think how can they get anybody this good for being a free series, but they always amaze me. I also always think how they can they do better than last year and they always do.'"

If you haven't heard, I'm telling you now: I write for Chicago/Brooklyn based music blog Consequence of Sound, and this week I pulled some strings to do a special piece on the Twilight Concert Series a week before it starts to help build the ethos of SLC in the music community. If you wouldn't mind, I would like to have direct quotes from concertgoers to implement into the piece for an extra appeal to the sentiment/logic of the readers. If you would like, send me a couple lines and I'll see if I can use them in the piece. Thanks. Viva SLC.

Yeah they are. You saw them open for Annuals didn't you? One of the reasons why I started listening to them though is because my name was in their band name.

Hey, I just barely saw the response about songbird on tumblr. I'm not sure how to respond to your answer so I'll just put it here. Songbird is an open source media player. You can download different add-ons for it. I'm not sure which browser you use for the internet, but many say that "Songbird is the Firefox of media players", it even has a browser built into it. For me it seems to run faster than Itunes and other media players. Integrated Last.fm support allows you to scrobble, love, and ban your tracks. One thing that attracts me to it is that it runs on Windows, Linux, and a Mac. I'm getting ready to change my OS to Linux so I'm just getting use to the features of this player now. http://getsongbird.com/

Yeah that show was awesome. I was shocked about going up on stage. Isn't Starfucker's Jupiter amazing! I'm so glad I got to pick it up early last week. I hate the fact I could only go to the Slowtrain in-store, and not their Urban Lounge show as well. If it wasn't for an early work shift I would have had both.

Instead of buying that book, you should use your money to buy a ticket for Franz Ferdinand and Born Ruffians. ^__^
