Thanks bro, you too. [2] You're lucky you get to go see RTJ in concert. I can't wait for their upcoming album.

yep, i had a floor ticket. when i got there i already saw a long line waiting to get in outside, so i resigned myself to getting a spot somewhere in the middle, but i surprisingly got a rail spot on the far left facing the stage (right where costumed Regine stood for "Joan of Arc"). And i agree, it was a great show!

Change of plans; it's going to be Universal Studios for tonight. :p And the Arcade Fire show will be my first at the Forum since it's been newly renovated. Am curious to see how it got improved!

Ok your sn totally fucking rocks man. Is High Fidelity also on your top 5 favorite movies of all time? Because if not... well that would just be weird.

i also check www.iota.com for those free shows on Kimmel. the concerts are usually 30-40 minutes and the artist usually play 5 songs.

Scenestar is my first go-to. I also get e:mail notices from bands that I'm on the mailing list for. It also pays to check their twitter sites for early announcements. BTW, i just got the e:mail for FYF Fest. Phoenix, The Strokes, Interpol, Haim and several others have been confirmed for this August. :D

...and you're right about that AXS site. It seems to have bugs. The thing with the "waiting room" feels bogus. :\\

i lucked out with my coldplay (at UCLA) ticket as well. after i confirmed that they were only doing 8 shows total for this "Ghost Stories" tour, i got curious and checked out stubhub and ebay. prices are outrageous for those.

i'm going to try to get my arcade fire ticket Wednesday morning (thru the kroq presale). i'm tempted to opt for a seat (instead of the GA floor), if I go to the Friday show, since i'd be driving down there from work. i hate going to the Forum. And if the Cure play the Pantages again like last time, that'd be great (but truthfully anywhere is fine; i'm there).

Thanks for the tip! With Beck, I feel like I've just stumbled upon a music genius, a prodigy. It's the same feeling I got when I first experienced "The White Stripes" and after than I became a huge Jack White fan. It's rare I feel this way about any artist on the first album spin.

Don't think I've seen anyone with that many Coulton plays, I need to listen to him again sometime... it's been a few years for me.

I'd have to say Buckethead. Although it might not be apparent if you look at my lib, I have spun his music a lot before last.fm.

thank you. i really should give that album a listen. i've actually seen them perform, when they opened for someone else, two years ago. This was before they had a record contract. i never thought they'd get as big as they are now. btw, seeing that you're listening to Siouxie; i bought a used vinyl of Juju recently, original US pressing. That's probably my favorite of theirs.

Sounds like you had fun! NIN next week. Hopefully, I can get into the Kimmel show taping (I'm on the WAIT list right now) before Friday's show. Will most likely marathon on NIN tunes starting Monday to get in the mood. :D

how long did they play? 2 hours? my danny elfman show was good too. lots of people dressed up like characters from Tim Burton's movies.

That should be a good show! I'm already going to another show the same night, so I was kind of disappointed when I saw the AF presale announcement. Oh well. I've seen them a few times before, so no biggie. Danny Elfman NEVER tours, so I'm happy that I'll get to see him instead (finally).
