Tool is one of those bands that are better live. Musicianship at its finest my friend

Our common interests are Tool, APC, Relient K, Pianos Become The Teeth, AND Silversun Pickups. Literally some of the greatest bands to ever exist lol. And Danny Carey is probably the best drummer I have seen live

The Byrds' "Mr Tambourine Man" is another album of that era it's fun to compare mono and stereo mixes of. Really a great album any way you slice it - REM and The Smiths would have had no idea how to jangle if it weren't for the Byrds. Hell, even the Beatles swiped a riff from that album...

for Piper at the Gates of Dawn, I prefer the mono mix overall. The stereo mixes of 'Flaming' and 'Matilda Mother' are very tame, particularly the first one, which is missing the flanging effect entirely. 'Interstellar Overdrive' is the only one that benefits from the stereo mix, the channel separation letting you hear the different instruments more.
