Hi RATACH ! Hope you're well! I write because recently launched with my band ETERNUS from Chile, our first album "Labyrinth of Reason". We play symphonic metal, with influences of power metal, etc., and with influences from bands like Nightwish, Sabaton, Epica, etc.. We differ from other bands of the genre, because we have an opera singer man, who gives a special and different sound. Hopefully you can hear us on our official Facebook www.facebook.com/eternusband (Grant us one Like please). Sample song: "Nemesis of the Gods" - www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydKOXy1TlTM! Thank you very much for reading this, we are just beginning and need maximum support, every aid helps very much. Have a nice day, greetings from Chile.

I've never seen nightwish live ever before either, well if they do a tour with floor jansen that wouldn't be bad, I think she's a great singer, but I've never seen either of the "true" nightwishes.

I've only seen Tarja live once and it was amazing. I cried alot at the gig. I love her new song 'Into The Sun'. She has some great songs. I'd love to see her do a collaboration with someone like Luca Turilli who could create a really good and technical music for the background. But I do like what she does.

To be honest, I only listen to the old Nightwish with Tarja Turunen, so I'm still very sad that I will never get to see her sing with them. Oceanborn is probably my favourite album. I did see Nightwish at Download this year with Anette. I didn't really want to, but the other bands on at that time didn't really interest me either, and my friends wanted to see Nightwish so I went with them. It was better than I thought it was going to be. I have seen some really bad clips of Anette singing, so I was expecting it to be really bad. I wouldn't go to see them again though.

I do go to concerts that aren't festivals. The past year or so I had an Internship and the hours were not good for concerts so I wasn't able to get to as many, but I try and go to as many concerts as I possibly can. I can never understand why people just go to festivals to camp and party. Especially with how much money it costs - I want to see as many bands as possible to get my money's worth! I mean you can get drunk on a sofa at home with friends for free, so why pay £200 to do it?! Maybe because I don't drink I don't get it haha.

My mom's first taste of Metal was when I won tickets to a festival and needed a lift to the show. I won 4 tickets so I asked her to come and be my Taxi ride. She planned to stay at the back with a drink at the bar, but she loved it so much that she ended up in the mosh pit to DevilDriver! She tells all of her friends that you have to Mosh before you die! Haha. Since then she hasn't looked back! She comes to as many concerts with me as she can. I really want her to come to Download one year, but I'm not sure that she would like all of the walking to get to the arena!

I have met some really great people from concerts that I wouldn't have known otherwise. Unfortunately, most of my friends are not interested in Rock or Metal music so I do go to alot of concerts by myself (or I drag my Mom along with me! haha). I hate going alone, but I'd rather go alone than miss out completely!

Oh my gosh, that is EXACTLY the same thing that happened to me when I saw Alice Cooper! I only knew Poison and Schools Out, but I was just blown away by the whole show, so much so that after that I vowed to see him as many times as possible! So far I'm at 5 times, but I'm going to see him again in October. I really want to catch the dollar bills that he throws out to the crowd! I really love his stage show, I wish more bands put on shows like he does. I am a bit more careful in the mosh pits these days as I'm a bit scared of getting hurt. I used to fall over ALOT in them. One time I got concussion and another time someone punched me in the face and the braces I had on my teeth at the time, cut my lip! :-(

Other shows that stand out were Machine Head at Sonisphere 2009, it was so good that I cried a few times! (HAHA!) I love Alice Cooper's live shows, I love circle pitting in DevilDriver' concerts and I really like Alter Bridge live too. Alot of the concerts I have been to have very special memories attached to them that made them so great like Meeting new friends, moshing like crazy, meeting the bands. Dream Theater are one of the most technically perfect bands I have ever seen! And Dimmu Borgir have a great soundman - he made the sound crystal clear in a venue that usually sucks for sound at gigs. Sylosis are really cool too, I love their guitars. :-) I can't choose betweem them all haha.

Sonisphere was cancelled here too this year. I went in 2009 (Metallica and Linkin Park were the headliners) and in 2010 (Headlined by Rammstein and Iron Maiden) unfortunately I didn't go in 2011 when Slipknot and "The Big 4" played - I'd have liked to have seen that! It's really hard for me to pick which was the best concert as even some of the older bands who I'm not really a big fan of like AC/DC, etc all put on really great shows that I really enjoyed, so it's hard to choose between them! My favourite one will probably always be my first one which was Trivium in 2007, I was just in awe of the whole set up with the mosh pits and crazy music, so that one is special for me. :-)

Yes, I have been 3 times to Download Festival. 2010, 2011 and 2012. I hope to go again next year if the line-up is good! We have a few other festivals for Rock and Metal in the UK - Bloodstock Open Air, Sonisphere Festival and Reading And Leeds. Tickets are quite expensive so I usually wait to see who has the best line-up first. :-)

Well, there were a couple I saw when I was very young - 90s Pop Bands! But my first Metal gig wasn't until 2007! My list is quite big because of all of the festivals I have been to so you can catch quite a lot of bands in the same place. I always try to see as many as physically possible. Some of the list probably doesn't really count as some bands I only saw a song or two from in a few cases, or just half of their set. You have seen quite a few awesome bands too! :-)

Hmm I love Tool and APC both, but I think I like Tool more overall, like you said their music is more complex, I just find I enjoy it more.
