Yes, that's definitely true! It also happens often with me. It's a great feeling when you re-discover an artist. :)

I might take me brother DVD player from his room tonight, and watch it. :P He bought me every Pink Floyd, Genesis, and Yes album. He is just, really reaaallly a good doood. :}} I've told that to everyone who has gave me crap about what I like. They dont care. Whatever. They're so narrow minded, its sick. D: Hah, I know now. I was reaaally young when I thought that. :P

Haha yes most likely 250 times! I love it so much! :D My DVD player died on me, so sadly I havent got to watch it lately. D: But, well I've seen it so many times, so I guess its alright. :P He is. He actually gave me his all time favorite bass guitar. That took a lot to do, so he really is a great guy. <3 Exactly! My dad only knows DSOTM, really. I love the album but yeah I listen to everything Floyd did so uhm... I dont want to keep talking about only that album! :| Everyone that I go to school with always say "Nobody like this band" or "Freak, listen to something that everyone else is listening to" and I actually thought that nobody liked this kind of music, until last month when I discovered Last.fm. Everyone on here is so nice, and it makes me feel.. happehh. :P :D <3

Live at Pompeii is on of the best music films ever. All the songs sound amazing, and the interviews go along perfectly with the movie. I love it! I've seen it over 250 times. :P Haha. Ugh I know. Its horrible. D: My dad is yeah, more into Sabbath, Purple, Iron Maiden, most Metal bands from the 70's and some from the 80's. My dad just got me into Rock to be honest. He doesnt like Prog other than Dream Theater and Rush. So I cant talk to him about Floyd or Yes or whatnot unless he tells me something that has to do with them.. drug experience-related. :| So its hard to talk to him. My uncle is a Progressive addict. He loves all the Classic stuff so its cool that I can talk to him about it. The youngest Prog head that I have ever met had to been about 25. Which is a little bit to old to hang out and talk to. :| I'm happy that I found last.fm I dont feel like I'm the only younger person into this music anymore. :D <3

Thats my favorite song on Ummagumma. The Live version from the KQED in 1970 is so beautiful. :D Goodness! I'm sorry, I didnt read your post properly. D: But yeah I have to keep practicing. And the yes the cords arent hard at all, its just remebering how it goes and whatnot. :P Us bass players arent used to playing six strings at once. :P Fearless is a gorgeous song. :}} Thats cool. :D I think the Pompeii version is much easier than the studio version. You can't really tell when the bass part comes in on the studio one, for me, that is, I cant. :P And yes, its oo hard trying to find other Progressive lovers out there. It sucks that most kids are listening to the garbage that is out today. And its sad they dont respect the older musicians. :[ I dont know anyone that likes the music we listen to. Not including my uncle and my dad, which they pratically showed me Prog. Hell, I dont know anyone other than them who likes real Rock music. D: Its horrible. Last.fm is amazing!! :D

They're all great! :D the Floyds talents are just crazy good! O_O I freaking knew Dave played on the songs. x_x Now I feel totally dumb. Yiikes! :P Anyways: I love those song! Beautiful! I learned the second guitar part on Grandchester Meadows. It took awhile but its fun to play. Do you know If? Thats pretty hard [for me] I keep getting confused with the changes throughout the song. And for the "electric songs" pretty darn awesome. :D I'm mad at Run Like Hell too. Another flanger song. : / The songs I can play on bass are: Astronomy Domine, Let There be Light, Set the Controls, When You're In, Gold is in The..., Fearless, One of These Days, DSOTM, Have a Cigar, Wish you Were Here, Animals, In the Flesh, ABITW P. II, Young Lust, Hey You (I LOVE playing it on the fretless bass... sexy :P) C. Numb, Waiting for the Worms, and my most favorite attack, Echoes!! It took me forever but I did it. (sorry I type to much man, I love talking to other fans :D)

Haha yeah. :] I love Animals, I'd love to learn 100% Dogs, but yes some parts are very hard to get, even on bass. I Sheep is pretty darn easy, I just dont like how you have to play with a pick and a flanger to have to same sound as Roger. [I'm a 100% finger bass player. :D] Pigs is my all time favorite! I love the groove and everything. :D Pigs on the Wing is the first song I learned on acoustic guitar. [well I only know Floyd stuff on acoustic :P] But, yeah that album is pretty awesome to play. :}} What other songs/album can you play? :D Hopefully he will. [:

Yeah well the WHOLE album is fun to play on any instrument. :P Dark Side, was the first album I could play from start to finish on bass guitar. :}} I feel overly horrible for not being able to go. D: I just checked the venue where he is playing at, and it has sold out. D: I feel even worse now. :[ But, I'd hope some footage will be shown after the tour.

Dark Side, was my first Floyd album I ever got. I love it! I love 'Time' awesome track. My favorite would have to be 'Any Colour you Like'. :] Yeah, I love the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! I live in Ohio, so I vist it once a year. There is so much great stuff up there, its crazy! <3 They also have the Divison Bell statue up there. :] I'd love to go see Waters The Wall, he is comming to the US in Sep. The tickets are so expensive, I cant afford it. :[ He is playing in Finland on my birthday! :P I bet its going to be awesome. I hope its recorded for DVD. That would be cool. :D

I love Meddle, is so good. :D I really perfer the earlier stuff, but, everything is awesome. DSOTM is fantastic, I hate it when people say its overrated or whatever. To me, its not. Same with The Wall, its good too. -sort of random but- When I went up to the Rock and Roll hall of fame, I saw the chair, lamp, tv stand, the teacher blowup/suit, Pink's 'doll', from 80/1' tour] and the bricks used from [I think] Water's 90' tour. It was super cool to see that uplclose. <3

Also, Davy Knowles from the Isle of Man mentioned Rory among the guitarists who inspired him, take a look: Tear Down the Walls, As the Crow Flies. Yep, that's for sure, but it can't be that bad since it's made by Pete. Anyway, you should listen to more Rainbow, mostly the albums Ritchie Balckmore's Rainbow and Rising ;) + check this out! ♫
