If I hadn't lost my phone on that fucking plane I would've continued the joke an entire minute earlier. Next (this) year.

That's awesome. Were you there? I just saw a few clips from youtube, looked spectacular. His crown of thorns was a great look. Also, a reminder to check out the new Black Country, New Road album!

Naaah I'm doing my best but I can't get into it. I feel so underwhelmed by it and I keep reading about how much people prefer the second half but atm to me it all sounds pretty avg. That 'We Cry Together' can get in the bin too. I respect what he's trying to do and to some extent it works, but I can't listen to that. I don't like shouting / arguments / drama in real life so I'll be fucked if it's gonna creep into my music. I feel like everything I've just said is a wildly unpopular thin to say though. Are you enjoying it?

Interesting takes! And I think you're not alone, there's been lots of mixed feelings on it. It's definitely super dense, I've not listened to it enough to form a solid opinion yet. But I actually really like it so far. Sure, it's no masterpiece like TPAB or full of bangers like on Good Kid or Damn, but it feels like a really earnest artistic statement, and to me it feels wholly original. The relationship fight was actually one of the highlights for me. I think it has some real potential to open up for me more in the near future. And I do find it more engaging than Untitled Unmastered at least. Also, if the new Arcade Fire didn't float your boat, I strongly suggest checking out the new Black Country, New Road album if you already haven't.

I prefer Untitled Unmastered to this for sure... I mean that's kind of a mess too but more ... the sort of mess I like? I did reallllly enjoy the new Arcade Fire album, planning on listening to that a ton over the next few weeks. I will also play your recommendation too though because I am literally always on the lookout for new stuff. Have you heard of some dude called Knucks? Spotify randomly spat out his 2022 album at me yesterday like 'u might like this lol' and I sure af do.

Awesome! AF's new is definitely nice, but still not close to the first three albums imo. Let me know what you think of the BC,NR. The new album, Ants from up there, is already one of my favourites. I'll also add Knucks to my list.

Hi Josh - well, about 2 or 3 weeks ago we had Sahara-clima here - 36 °C and more ... Las Vegas ? "Outside it's America - outside it's America" (U2) - very hot there - sometimes as well in Phoenix / Arizona ... Well, I've been twice in Birmingham, 1987 for 3 U2-concerts and 1992 for the U2-concert and I've been near Bristol with the Navy in 1993 before going to Dublin - then we made a trip to Birmingham sharing a bus - we already had been to London before when having been in Weymouth a few weeks before ... Regards + cheers, Sven

Saw a shout you left for the Courteeners ( a Great, great band). Did you hear albums 3 and 4 yet? I think album 3, Anna, is their best. Love that album. In Love With a Notion is their best song I think. Will have to give your radio a play so I can 'steal' some new stuff! Take care!

I think they're a joke because their last album was awful and over the years they've been progressively getting worse. I don't mind that they've decided to take a "new direction" but I just don't think it works. 'A Ruff Guide..' was a great genre-crossing album and when I saw them live a few years ago when they were awesome, but at Rebellion last year they were a totally different band. They just seem so cocky and serious about music which is frankly a bit shit.

Wow, you are very obtrusive. I clearly don't have any friends, because my friends used to listen to vaccines and so they died. Now I am utterly alone in this poor world where everybody listens to shit and I am very sorry if I hurt your feelings. My hatred for people is magnificent. So next time leave me alone and keep in mind that there is no justice in this world. And will never be. Peace.

I still like his music, like I said. It's hard for me to be much of a fanboy. Most of the guys I used to consider heroes were extremely flawed. Eddie Vedder isn't even the worst.

You don't have to act butthurt. Here: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=faggot now you know what I meant by 'faggot.' Relax. Anyhow, He's free to do what he wants, sure. I'm free to think he's a cunt. Be seeing you.

He didn't act 'gay', he acted like a faggot. Too touchy-feely when his own security detail had to get rough with some rednecks in my burg. That was back in the early 90's. He told the crowd he was never coming back here. Many bands played before and still do to this day in this town without problems and many have been back multiple times. It's not that bad here. I heard he's done this stuff in other locales too. He's kind of a pussy, but I love his music. Take care.

concerning your question about Cloud Nothings--yes. Depending on what you consider quality...sound quality, nope the first and my favorite Turning On was recorded on CD-R. However it's amazing...one of the best albums I've discovered recently. The S/T album is more upbeat and really poppy. I love it too...these guys are just hook masters.

Oh man... I really couldn't dig The Decemberists, there's something about the voice that i can't swallow... Anyway, I see your lacking in rhythm so you might check Juana Fe, they're a band from my country... they play a mix of various latin rhythms. Listen to this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_wUpr9k6cI Hope you like them :)
