I did not. Was cat sittting in the sticks and wasn't motivated to get two night buses back. Manage to save your pennies for Interpol? Thoughts on the new Chelsea Wolfe?

Were you having a Cornell commiserations day too? Did you make it to the Oxbow gig?

Sad times. Yeah I went to see Oxbow. Sound was great to start but thankfully it got better as the gig went on. I love them. Really like the new album. Didn't even realise Aaron Turner was in Sumac. Pity about that annoying guy in the green tshirt trying to mosh within a 20m radius from the front. Looking forward to Swans on Saturday?

Thought I replied... Swans were good. Never disappoint. Sorry to rub it in. How was work? If it's any consolation I went to Raw Power and that was a bit of a let down. Shitwife were pretty fin though. Am I missing anything from all these metal gigs in your upcoming events?

Zero Chance is a wicked Soundgarden song jus' sayin :) And yep, 90s....I like that there are huge parts of it that I haven't listened to yet ^_^ How long you been playing for? Shame you can't practice more seems like you'd make a good muso based on your taste.

You have wicked music taste. The 90's was personally my favourite time in music. I noticed in one of your tags you play an instrument, which one do you play? I play guitar/sing/write songs etc. Undone (Failure) would make a mad cover, I got the riffs/melody lines down, but the guitar effect is a bit tricky to emulate cos it sounds suh gud.

my pleasure! slayer set was: world painted blood, war ensemble, jihad, psycopathy red, born of fire, mandatory suicide, chemical warfare, ghost of war, disciple, dead skin mask, hell awaits, angel of death, south of heaven, ----------- raining blood, 3 songs off the new album which isn't out yet, i think opening with world painted blood was a bit of a mistake cause not many people knew it, i had only heard it once, so was kinda difficult to kick things off with it. war ensemble fixed that right up :D psycopathy red is an amazing song, can't wait for the new album. my personal fave of the set was hell awaits, i really wanted to hear it last time they came and didn't. last time they played more off seasons in the abyss which is my fave album and would have liked to hear one more song off it this time. overall a really good range of old and new. you should really listen to some megadeth, i think you will really dig it, get a hold of their greatest hits. i think you will like it :)

one word : AMAZING! i will give you my full professional review, cause i have nothing better to do :) i was on the barrier for megadeth and in the pit for slayer. both bands were incredible. i thought megadeth had a better set list (i can give you both set lists if you wish) and slayer had a better everything else. better energy, stage presence, crowd interaction and sound quality. this was my second time seeing slayer and i thought last time i saw them it was better, because this was a co-headlining tour both bands got 75 minute sets whereas last time i saw slayer they had a little over 90 minute so i got a wider range of songs. overall i still enjoyed slayer more because i am a much bigger slayer fan and am therefore bias :) but megadeth were incredible and would gladly go see them again. overall i score the night 9/10. if both bands played a little longer then it would have been a ten. you asked for it......
