Congratulations on reaching already your ">1.6k artists listened to" personal record :-) ... I saw you in the "Discovery Leaderboard" section (August 28 - September 3), you are at #2 place there (I am in the Scrobble LB): last DOT fm/user/probably_talon/listening-report/week ... How's life on your side of the globe currently? I guess you also stay indoors more lately in these pandemic times, as we also here in the German side of the EU ... Protect yourself, and continue listening music very loud in the meantime

SO NOW IT HAPPENED, I also got the ugly, confusing layout too. Last.FM already tried to install this style (song title on the left, artist on the right) years ago and failed (/ lost a huge bunch of users). Aren't they interested in the opinions of their users and subscribers? I can't believe that more than 10 % of "us" all appreciate the layout design. I, personally, am a member since 2002 (since 2007 with another name), we've walked through a lot of changes, lost a few very good features, but THIS is REALLY bugging me out to the max. Express your opinion: create a user account in their community support on www.getsatisfaction.com/lastfm . We can't let this happen! We love our customary Last.FM that we're used to for ages. Without us this page is nothing, and we have to tell the admins that we love the style that's been here for years. WE are Last.FM !!!

Used to love Last.fm before getting fed up when my desktop scrobblers constantly stopped working. Now that I just started using Spotify and everything seems to be running smoothly, I'm really back into it. Also, excellent music taste. Savatage is in my top 3 favorite bands along with Iron Maiden and Blind Guardian.

Rhythm is a great album, this one will click after a few more spins, I love that mellow and joyful feeling it has, it has some of his best songs on it.

Very nive profile you have there! Greetings from Finland! Oh, and would you hate even this kind of atmospheric black metal songs? :) No growls on that one!

Nice selection. Saw you comment on a Moody Blues tune. You are right.. they are grossly under-rated. Thought you might dig this.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RweEyIChh9g

Excellent, in that case you've got some great ones coming up! Reaper Man and Small Gods are two of my favourites! :) Reading them chronologically would probably be a good idea actually, perhaps I should try that sometimes. I went about it pretty much randomly, so my timeline is pretty messed up xD

Nice collection of CD's. I think I'm going to record my collection in my journal. You've inspired me, haha.

I really enjoyed this video. It's full of joy, I think I'm going go try Blackout as you suggested. But this new album seems to be fun as well. Thanks for the help!

One more thing. I saw you've listened to a lot of Dropkick Murphys. What album would you recommend as a first choice. It may help you that I love Dead Kennedys, Sex Pistols some Ramones and some Bad Religion. I saw a song on youtube but did not know what album to purchase, I really have no idea. I'm not dying of curiosity, but I'm quite interested for some time

You've got a very nice collection there+ HAve you ever thought of joining RYM? http://rateyourmusic.com/~Mindcrimewithin this is my profile, I think you'd like the site. You can enter what items do you have (editions are also fixed) and give ratings, make lists and generate automatic recommandations based on the album ratings. It works better for me because I've been listening to my favourites (such as Maiden, Priest, Sabbath, Savatage and most you've mentioned before and btw nearly all my top-listened bands here) - and those listens were not scrobbled (before I joined last.fm of course). But if I rate a Maiden work with a perfect score on RYM, it shows perfectly how highly regarded it is in my view (and 10 scrobbles don't give it justice here, because it has thousands of listens, from the past). That's how RYM compliments last.fm for me

It's definitely worth it. I hail it as many others a true classic. But my favourites are Salisbury and Look at Yourself. If you don't know them, fill the gap for sure. Btw I'd place this on par with Wake the Sleeper, but there's no major difference anyway. I like Bernie Shaw, he did greatly live too (with only '70s stuff in the playlist + one or two new ones)

Hello! I don't really keep it even. It just occurs naturally. I never had a clear favourite miles ahead of the pack and perhaps never will. I'm just nearly equally a die-hard fan of too much great bands. Some days ago I just watched my top 100-150. Really those are the bands I like and respect the most, if I have to pick it's still Black Sabbath. That's the only band I really intend to keep first in number of scrobbles, but not by much. As you see they are in front by one or two albums (10 songs or so) That new Uriah Heep album is a killer!

Yeah, Oliva also did an acoustic version of "Morning Sun" for the remastered Streets album. I checked out the rest of the album, but it sounds virtually identical to the original - no audio quality changes at all. If my count is accurate, there are now four versions of the Streets album - the original, the 1997 re-release, the 2002 re-release, and now the 2011 remaster.

D'you hear about Oliva pulling out of the TSO European tour because of a family emergency? I guess that shelves the Savatage songs. Also, have you seen "The Birth of Rock Theater" from TSO? Supposed to show some live performances, first time TSO live has seen any official release?

I could not see your library, but from the look of it, you have such an incredible taste of artists and bands. I highly respect your taste in music. I am a Catholic myself, too.
