I took a while to get into Leaves' Eyes but they've become on of my favourites. I'll be looking out for the album from Insuna, I enjoyed their set as well.

Excellent weekend! :) Leaves' Eyes were amazing, but there I knew what to expect. I was looking forward to Rainover and EnkElination based on their albums, and they did not disappoint. Of those bands I knew nothing about, the standout ones were Bad Pollyanna and Enemy of Reality, and The Fall of Eve were pretty good too. How about you?

I see :) I recommend Cracow next time you plan to visit Poland ;) Such a magic place and cultural ;) Well I have mostly to travel to Varsav if I need to see great bands, or to Cracow too... it's a long way for me as I live near Baltic Sea, but I like to travel as well ;) Nah, I don't plan to go see some gigs in near future - money is the main problem for me atm ;) I wish I could but I have to earn some more :D

Yes it is ;) Have you ever been there? :) Well Poland is just getting better and many bands start to come visit us to play some music but still it's not so well-known country and many bands don't do that - if you know what I mean :D I wish that bands like Epica or Insomnium could visit Poland more :) How about your country?

Excellent! I really enjoyed Tarja. Next gig is tomorrow... Dream Theater in Wolverhampton. Feb / March seem to be rather busy!

Hi, did you enjoy the Tarja gig? I didn't spot you there, but I was wedged to the side near the front. Also Edenbridge? Would have liked to have seen them, but I had to get back to work on Tuesday.

No, I managed to avoid that :) despite being in the front row - off to one side though, and there were plenty of volunteers in the centre.

Chemikill were more towards black metal than I usually listen to, but I agree they were a great act. I've never seen a female vocalist singing harsh vocals like that before, she was amazing! VoA I was actually slightly disappointed by - I enjoyed them, but not as much as I expected - possibly it was just that the earlier acts had been so good! We didn't stay to the after party - by the time Delain finished we thought we should find our way to the metro (plus I don't think I could have stood up much longer, my feet can't take it like they used to!) Pity it ran late as I would have liked to stay for some of that.

I wasn't actually at the bar, but around the edge of that bar area. I got to meet members of Ex Libris and Azylya at the merch stand - I hadn't heard either of those before and really enjoyed them. I thought Delain were great (as expected), after them I think Whyzdom were my favourites, then Azylya and Ex Libris. I enjoyed seeing all the bands though, and liked that there was a range of different styles. Who did you meet? Did you make any new discoveries?

Hi, hope you enjoyed the festival? I saw you early on talking to someone at the bar and thought I'd catch up with you later, but I didn't see you after that - it was rather dark! Fantastic day though.

Will look out for you as well. My friends and I are travelling by train, so we'll be staying overnight in Wolverhamption. Would have been rather a long drive back anyway! What about you, are you staying over?

That Birmingham festival sounds very interesting, thanks for the tip... I haven't got my head around what I'm doing next year yet, will have to look at dates when I'm back home. In the meantime, hope you have a great Christmas and New Year!

The Divine Conspiracy was the first album I heard, but Consign to Oblivion was the one that really got me into them, I agree it's a fantastic album. I saw you'd added Stream of Passion as the support for the December gig - that's a bonus as I really like some of their music too.

My favourite Epica albums are Design Your Universe and Consign to Oblivion. Favourite songs are probably Tides of Time and the title track from DYU, plus I love Storm the Sorrow from the latest album.

Great birthday outing! I was thrilled they're coming to Newcastle, not that many bands I want to see coming up this way this year. I'm jealous you're getting to see Kamelot too, their London date doesn't work for me.
