HI YES I ADORE PINBAACKK! !! !no one appreciates gj nowadays :(( it's so sad to see them get overlooked because they're so amazing at what they do. i love how they're not afraid to challenge themselves and go absolutely wacky when it comes to genre merging and just being sick and awesome musicians in general :))

do you have any current obsessions? like bands whose body of work you heeard recently and fallen head over heels for and want nothing more than to recapture that magic you experienced from the very first moment?

hey, thanks for taking the time to reach out. your words mean a ton to me! it's not a common sight to get to meet people who share an affinity for the kind of music that makes my world go round. anyway, about that favor. it's actually not that hard to query as various peer-to-peer clients offer that opportunity to find whatever album you may be looking for. as a start, i'd recommend checking out soulseek and then seeing if any that returns any results. i actually don't really recall how and from whom i got to first hear that album in particular but feel free to keep this conversation going should you have any further things to ask :)

and thanks for the kind words! while that list may not hold true for much of what i listen to anymore, fall colors and select unwound albums still do receive frequent plays

hey, sorry i didn't get back to you any sooner. just had no incentive to log on to the site these past handful of weeks so naturally any and all notifs i'd receive on my page were slated to be hung out to dry. following through on your beckon may require a bit of recollection and mental notes to be imprinted on my part though so itf it's alright with you, i'd like to sit on this a while more. in the meantime, what marriage of musical styles have you been grabbed by and listening to lately?

to give you an idea of what drives my listening patterns as of the moment, i generally seem to find myself more fond of feedback-heavy, rudely dissonant guitar swells meaning plenty of emoviolence, drone/free improvisation and angular indie rock. loud or soft from the outset does not matter. as long as the dynamics and cohesion of an album does its job at eliciting fear, tension and excitement or any two of these moods compounded, then i'll be certain to enjoy myself to the fullest. current bands of interest include but are not limited to: City of Caterpillar, Kodan Armada, Deerhoof, Trumans Water, 125 Rue Montmartre, Dadamah/Roy Montgomery and of course the mandatory Lync/Unwound

My my I was not expecting such a thorough reply. I haven't delved into the similar artists of Unwound out of fear of comparing them to other artists I would find. Maybe I should just get out of my comfort zone, eh? As for your search for angular sound, I know Dismemberment Plan have a lot of uncomfortable, jagged works, and if you don't mind some older works you can always try Captain Beefheart and Zappa. As for emoviolence, the only thing I can recommend is Usurp Synapse. Have you considered expanding your tastes to metal? Things like Gorguts, Ad Nauseum, and Deathspell Omega come to mind when I think of distorted guitar works.
