Yeah the songs are ""darker"" than on cerulean for example (u feel me ?) The atmosphere in Obsidian is a lot like what Will used to do when he was on the Geotic project... (give it a listen if you haven't yet !) Anyway, you should try speaking french !! Don't be scared to make mistakes :3

Yeah none are bad albums, I don't think anything else he makes will live surpass Blinking Lights..but I'm all for surprises. Pitchfork reviews are always to be taken with a grain of salt. As for iPods, I have one and my plays still don't scrobble, I should really fix that one of these days. Solo Piano is brilliant, probably some of his most minimalist work. And Einstein is definitely up there in my favourites, either as background music or to just sit and listen, The Hours score is probably my favourite though - absolute masterpiece. Have a listen if you haven't already!

Argh, I want that channel. I'm imagining it to be this Fangoria-like production where they show a lot of cheaply made but awesome films, but not in the SyFy vein of cheaply made in which every movie is literally shit. -- Yeah a lot of people, fans included, hated Fire Walk with Me but I liked it; served as both a prologue and as something of a VERY much needed epilogue, and yes, it was pure Lynch, constantly exposed tits included. He was planning a trilogy I think. Budget problems have kept even the greatest projects from getting off the ground or staying in the air, not to mention asshole network problems *cough* Fox cancelling Arrested Development, I hope you all burn in hell *cough* -- Alright bro, talk to you later. I'm an ISTJ type btw, just took the test. I've taken that test so many times over the years on different sites and I can never remember what I got, like 3 days after the fact.

Aw, unfortunately they never show anything good here so no Twin Peaks, but I do feel like rewatching it now. Did you ever end up watching Fire Walk with Me too? And yeah dude, any time you want to talk about anything, I'll be here; I have the feeling we share a huge amount of interests.

Yeah I heard that, I think in Iceland the act of giving someone a picture of Bjork is tantamount to giving them your newborn, well, or so I heard. Hicks, Hedberg, Farley, Belushi, Hartman, all dead way too young. Some from drugs, Hartman from his psycho wife, Hicks from cancer, although I don't think the pancreatic cancer was actually due to his chain smoking, was it? Anyway, it was good talking to you too, I like to take part in intelligent conversation whenever I can (rarely) find it. It's easy to get people to talk, but it's hard to get them to talk about anything that matters or at the very least have a half-interesting or thoughtful conversation. Admittedly, I get bored pretty easily, so I don't really like talking on the phone, but I talk with too many morons that really aren't worth talking to. I'd say you're worth talking to though, so thanks for doing it with me, brochacho.

It's kind of cathartic to just simply write the shit you have always thought and known about yourself but never talked aloud about. Maybe if I would have kept a journal around age 8 and on I wouldn't be so emotionally unstable. DP is worth playing once, maybe, even for the experience alone. It's so bad yet you just want to keep playing. Oh, hey thanks, to show my appreciation I put up another huge Bjork picture just for you to enjoy. -- What I love about Hicks is how unpretentious he is, regardless if he honestly believes what he's saying or he's just saying it to piss off the crowd, he's afraid to say virtually nothing and he doesn't put up a wall of pretension in front of his jokes because he's afraid someone, somewhere might take offense. Comedians don't need to be loud and abrasive, but they NEED to be fucking honest, otherwise they don't deserve to be a comedian. Carlin is great too, my all-time favorite. Watched his stand-up specials since I was a kid and loved all of them. Max!

DP is very Twin Peaks-y; it tries hard to be and was written as such, but it's a bad game in a lot of ways. It has that "bad" charm that a lot of bad cult games have though, so it's absolutely revered by many people. There's a lot to do, sidequest-wise, basically. And yeah Hedberg was so fucking likeable and chill, even though he suffered from massive amounts of stagefright he was so cool and was obviously a really nice guy on top of being a God-like comedian, what with having unique style and awesome delivery. I miss him. -- By the way, your About Me description totally resonates with me. I think we might actually be the same person.

Yeah, it was obvious that at the end of the second season Lynch was trying to wrap things up in any way he could, so everything seemed very rush due to the cancellation by those cocksuckers at Fox. Still, amazing show. On a not-totally-unrelated note, have you played Deadly Premonition or Alan Wake? -- Also yes Mitch Hedberg is one of my favorite people ever, present tense. Easily one of my favorite comedians, top 3 along with Bill Hicks and George Carlin. I have a joke of his in my forum signature which is why he was mentioned.

True, although I think most people would be better than Donald. You haven't heard the trilogy then? I wasn't too impressed with End Times and Hombre, but Tomorrow Morning definitely made up for them. As for Songs Ohia, "Didn't it rain" has always been my favourite album of theirs.

Clean and orderly, what more could you want? The internet told me I'm an ISTJ - the same as Eeyore :( You should definitely get back into the Eels, haven't read E's book but I'm so very jealous of his facial hair. Also pretty sure you'd like Songs: Ohia, if you don't already know them. Deliciously depressing.

You sure as hell would accomplish something greater than anything that hack Jung's ever done. Godspeed! And yes, this was a very enjoyable convo.

You should totally start a Midget Fighting League or something...you could totally incorporate all of those elements...and the ring will probably be a lot smaller so you wouldn't have to get such a large one made. LIVE YOUR DREAM

Well, I do hope you fulfill your mission of proving Mr. Jung wrong, but don't feel bad if you don't cry at the end; i didn't either, though i do think i was rather moved. Mind if I ask why you must keep yourself awake at such an insane hour in the morning?

To each their own, I suppose. No explanations needed, then. The vertically-challenged are a fascinating people. And Van Halen is pretty sophisticated music, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Anyway, The Antlers are pretty nifty indeed. If you already don't have them, it would certainly give our already-super bar a boost, making us even more super.

I suppose it's all very fancy, actually. I wasn't going to comment on the midget pictures, but I must: Why? Just curious. Anyway, yes, I love both Heathers and Tegan & Sara, it's like they both exist in separate universes where one band just happened to get into new wave, heh.

They're so addictive it hurts! Their Body Switchers EP/album/whatever is worth getting too, and you can snag that off their MySpace page. Cum Stain is pretty killer - They sound exactly like Nobunny. "Bachelor's Life" is the jam of the century. I grew up with Americana folk and old blues, so I adore it. Haven't been listening to it lately, though. I love all the "Blinds" - Blind Boy Fuller, Blind Joe Taggart, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Blind Maimie Forehand, Blind Roosevelt Graves, Blind Willie Davis, Blind Willie Johnson, etc etc etc. Skip James might be my favorite. Good stuff all over.

It keeps failing at 99% so I'll just give you the link and the info. Here it is, and the tracks are as follows: 1. Cougar 2. Crack Mountain 3. Dogbite 4. Shame Walkin' 5. Easystreet. Artist is, obviously, Natural Child, and the album is just their self-titled 7". Get back to me on it! I hope you like it... This EP alone got them into my overall charts in less than a couple months. It's delicious.
