Hmm... You've heard Makthaverskan? Very indie, Broder Daniel-ish. Perhaps Kite, a synthy duo? Very good EPs (they've not released any LPs). La Lusid is a little band that a mate's brother has got...got some exposure a while back. Also check out old band Franke; their track 'Jag älskar dig' is absolutely astounding.

I've logged out of my FB profile (but not removed it as events I've created disappear etc). Set up a profile that I don't add friends to in case I need to message someone and Facebook is the only route. Whereas sex is not just fulfilling in the act, but can have an overall mood-enhancing, life-affirming quality, Facebook is merely an addictive distraction that doesn't seem great for mental health or productivity. On a related note, I was commenting to Rob and Shelley last night that Instagram seems to be the only social network where my news feed is much more positive than negative. I know we can't ignore the bad things that go on in the world, but when you need a break from it, Instagram's a good bet!

Enjoying your albums of the year list. Many I knew already, many I didn't. Good choices. Also I'm glad to see you're still maintaining your scrobbling. So many people I know haven't bothered in recent years. This is possibly my favourite website of all time. All the world's music meets statistics?! Better than a dream.

Hey mate, I hope you're good. Just in case, if you haven't heard the Swedish band Makthaverskan (http://www.last.fm/music/Makthaverskan) you really should hear them. The first two songs on their latest album...just blew me away. Young Swedes, sound like Siouxsie paired with Johnny Marr and Swedish band Broder Daniel. Go for it! I'd love to hear what you think of it.

I have loved all of your music recommendations! Also, if you ever get a chance to catch Tunng (which should be easier for you than it is me!) please do so that I could live vicariously through you! The one and only time I caught them live, I almost cried. One of those bands for me.

I see B. Herrmann as well. Well done. You might like Leonard Rosenman who did the music for East of Eden and Rebel Without a Cause (there's a good CD of his stuff on Nonesuch recs ). If that wasn't enough early Felt (with Maurice Deebank on guitar) is some of the best guitar music of all time.

Love the videos and the tunes that go with them! I also checked out Diamond Ring some fabulous stuff right there, thanks for suggesting it! Have you listened to Tunng at all? Not sure if they're your style but they're lovely and from your side of the pond. ;-)
