I see you listened to Tears for Fears. I suggest Brothertiger's cover album of Songs from the Big Chair

I've just heard it once and can't give a rating yet. But I know no bad release from Opal Tapes.

Hey! I don't think you can go wrong with Matthew Dear. Beams might be the most approachable of his albums but all of his latest albums (Asa Breed, Black City and Beams) are good. Very different from each other though. Black City with its darker sound is the most enjoyable of the three for me. He has his own distinctive style that you either love or don't. That monotone singing style isn't for everybody. :) What do you think of Caribou's latest? Decided to wait until it's official. :)

a very bitter and twisted young man. I would never cheat Last FM and you should be ashamed for making such a lewd accusation. £2 in the sniff jar for you.

Yeah he did play 'Hard in Da Paint' haha, guess it was a similar set. Played a Kode9 track as well but I can't remember which one! I hope they have a Techno / Bass heavy line up next year with guys like Boddika, Joy Orbison, Person Sound ect. I'm guessing you've heard the NonPlus compilation, 'Think and Change'? Would love a lineup with those contributing artists.

I saw Lapalux, John Talabot and Flying Lotus. I did go to Rustie's set but wasn't really feeling it so went over to see XXXY til closing. I thought Lapalux had a slow start but things picked up a lot after he played 'Straight Over My Head'. And I wasn't a big FlyLo fan beforehand (I knew his music was good but it never really clicked with me) but he played a great set. People went mental when he dropped TNGHT's 'Higher Ground' haha. He interacted with the crowd a lot too which was nice to see. I definitely appreciated the space of Room 1 though, Talabot played an amazing set but you could barely move to it! I honestly didn't recognise a lot of the tunes (except 'Juno Jam' by Genius of Time) but it was pretty entrancing. It kept that Balearic flavour of his own music while being a lot more driving. Missed out on Jamie xx because he clashed with FlyLo which sucked but overall it was great, will definitely go again.
