That might be hard, because I think you may have scooped me here on an awful lot. Just sort of skimming through your list here... if you haven't already, see what you think of Slow Crush. Yumi Zouma, a newer all-time favorite. Jenn Champion for more a synth-pop sound. An older British dream pop band, Breathless - you might recognize the lead singer from his work with This Mortal Coil. Beliefs, a Canadian band. Fine Place, a side project for Frankie Rose, also a bit more on the synthy side of dream pop. Bitch Falcon, a bit more aggressive, as the name implies, from Ireland. Mint Julep. I hope these tips are useful! They should be up your alley, given the artists that crop up on your own list.

I'm happy to hear that I helped successfully to spread the gospel! I discovered them kind of randomly, when I noticed that a band I already liked at the time - Wild Nothing - remixed one of their tracks. And I was hooked. I'm super impressed with these guys. They sound like what top-40 pop ought to sound like in a just world. Their last album, Present Tense, the one that you listened to, was one of my rare vinyl purchases.

Oh, and Chromatics. A newer discovery for me, but their discography dates roughly from 2007 to 2020. Dreamy noir sound, they were tapped to be in the Twin Peaks revival. Also, Still Corners, in a similar vein.

Nice, you have accomplished already your <12500 artists played> milestone :-) ... I discovered you and me in the "Scrobble Leaderboard" section (May 29-June 4): last DOT fm/user/RockasLTU/listening-report/week ... How is it going in Portland currently? I guess you and your family don't go out so much lately in these Corona virus times, same as us here in good old Germany... Stay safe, and enjoy the music, and more hobbies, meanwhile, Sara

The majority of my overall top artists are going to be, like, post-rock which understandably isn't a rabbit hole people typically want to go down.|So I'll diversify here: Mono - Nowhere Now Here, post-rock/metal; TENDER - Modern Addiction, indietronica; Japanese Breakfast - Pyschopomp, shoegaze.

Neat-o! Hehehe. I've thought about making a new account just to change my name, but -- ugh -- I don't have the care for it. Cool, cool. I'm always looking to trade tunes -- there's also a Last.fm Discord (https://discord.gg/EvVpRpe) if you're looking to expand your library and socialize with a bunch of nice people. Happy Pride, be safe.

Didn't expect a follow from someone like you, in that we have pretty much no relate-able artists...but I'll follow you back anyways. :)

Yea, I love to explore and listen to new bands (mostly metal, certain styles as well) but lately I've been burned out on listening to stuff in general, with the exception of a couple of my favorite albums. For the time being I'm putting effort into building up my local collection again so I won't have to deal with it when I wanna start listening to a particular band. But anyways, have fun going through my library lol.

just noticed you were following me now so I'm following back and lurking some of your artists/recs to others in the comments, thanks ( : I also didn't see a few of my more recent post-rock-whatever finds: Totorro (catchy mathy instrumental), Tropic of Cancer (lo-fi dreamy kinda good for naptime) and Bvdub (this one is based off your high Eluvium plays, obvs also good for naptime). Some hometown (San Diego) post-mathy bands you might like if you don't already know them then def have a listen: Japandi (more melodic) and Sleeping People (more technical + got a lady guitarist shredder). Enjoy.

I found TotorRo several years ago. I haven't really given their most recent LPs a fair chance--I honestly stopped listening to them after their John Baltor LP--and their debut EP is the only album I return to frequently.|I'll give these other mathy bands a go. I'm def going to be confusing Sleeping People with Sleep Party People and 'People Not Sleeping' by And So I Watch You from Afar now, so thanks.

Likewise! I know some names from your library but alas, too few haha. Given the electronica you have dabbled in recently (based on Blue States and Zero 7), I'd like to recommend you the album "Lemon Jelly.ky" by Lemon Jelly. And as a wildcard of something you've probably never heard before, in a style you're not at all familiar with, try "Sines and Singularities" by Bluetech. And feel free to give me any recommendations too!

Okay, okay. I don't know of any way to compare our libraries, so I'm going to name a bunch of indie artists ranging from bedroom pop to alt/grunge/noise: Shortly, Olivia Grace, Starcrawler, Dilly Dally, girl in red, New Dialogue, Au/Ra, The Unlikely Candidates, HAELOS, Klergy, Bleached, Tusks, ellis, MarthaGunn, Black Belt Eagle Scout, Drowsy, SOAK, and Whitney Ballen.

girl in red isn't a big surprise since she sort of took off about the same time King Princess did, I think. Au/Ra touches on the darker side of pop, though not to the extent of Billie Eilish, but her songs are still bangers--and the Pink Floyd-life in "Outsiders" is a neat touch.|Ugh, coouuntry. I feel you. I mean, I can listen to some good ole fashioned indie folk-esque rock--like, I don't know, Margolnick or Timber Timbre--but that is as close as I get.|Except for one which I have to give credit to Soey Milk. She creates these beautiful hyper-realistic oil paintings of doe-eyed ladies and they slay me. I also really enjoy looking at Conrad Roset's work. I used to post a bit to my now defunct insta and art tumblr, but really you'll only ever see anything on Spotify. It's personal and cathartic.

Aldous Harding ('Horizon') is a recent discovery of mine actually, and Sharon Van Etten a few months before that--who I still confuse with Anna von Hausswolff.|I typically listen to a lot of female solo artists or female fronted bands. Shocker, I know. I don't keep it up to date as much as I should, though... Anyway the playlist covers a lot of different sounds and the Spotify AI can turn it into a pretty good auto-generated radio playlist.|I've saved your playlist and I'll work my way through it on long commutes.
