Thank you! I might have an unhealthy (or boring) fixation on the genre, but eh fuck it. Yours is amazing as well, lots of good shit right there!

have heard a decent bit about hammock (more or less unrelated but labradford too), but haven't heard anything by them but want to discover their stuff, could you shoot me a good place to start?

I haven't listened to them extensively for years, but a great way to start is with Maybe They Will Sing For Us Tomorrow. It's their most minimalistic yet most sublime work IMO. Effortlessly beautiful all around. Chasing After Shadows is more than an adequate follow-up. Have a nice time!

Yes! Me too. Haven‘t listened for quite some time. Mostly because I don’t like the latest albums. But, the old ones are still there to enjoy !

hi just saw your comment on http://www.last.fm/music/%C3%93lafur+Arnalds/Eulogy+for+Evolution/3704%2F3837 , wanted to check if you know that this album is supposed to soundtrack a life since it was born to death, the last track is very special the part when you think the headphone is mulfunctioning is simulating a stopping heart beats then there is the church sounds. The album is so special this in mind...

he's got albums for all tastes! and odelay is definitely a masterpiece, it's like the nineties' sgt. peppers! i'd suggest you check out some of his singles and b-sides to get the idea! like "looking for a sign" (very akin to morning phase), his philip glass rework "nyc: 73-78" (absolutely phenomenal), "i won't be long", "gimme","cities", "spiral staircase", "movie theme", "scarecrow" (a 7 minutes long version), "beautiful way", "jack ass"...all very spaced out jams! :-)

as for my recommendations, once you liked morning phase and sea change a lot; you could have a listen to mutations and modern guilt! and maybe one foot in the grave! they have a similar sort of vibe, though in their own different ways and atmospheres. mutations is a mix of alternative folk rock, bossa nova, brazilian sixties rock, blues and everything in between, outstanding. modern guilt is existentialist psychedelic experimental rock with some folk, electronic and pop, both had me addicted for months on end! one foot in the grave is his third independent album, it's very lo-fi, anti-folk, indie-rock, so i'm not sure you'd dig the album as a whole that much, but it has some really great tunes! you see the thing about beck is that he's impossible to define, he's truly a chameleon and he morphs, incorporates and masters all kinds of genres and styles, from folk, country and blues to funk and hip hop, electronic, lounge and rap. a real expert in making the most amazing musical collages!

oh, so you didn't know him! i reckon morning phase must have been indeed a great introduction then! and you liked sea change too, ace!!! love that album beyond reason!!! i love everything beck does, but sea change and the effect it has on me is beyond description, i couldn't put down to words just how deeply and intensely it inspires me, strikingly mind heart and spirit stirring ♡ oh and thank you for the hints!! cheers! will check those out!! they must be doubtlessly amazing!! :-)) indeed! brian has just such an extensive discography, one doesn't even know where to start! haha i absolutely love his four conceptual ambient albums (1, 2, 3 and 4) and discreet music is another one of my favourites!! and apollo!!!!! apollo is absolutely mind blowing!!! as is before and after science!! love those, and another green world and lux!! agh so many! hahaha brian is just superb!

thank you for accepting! oh and cheers!! eno is beyond brilliant!!! simply unique, gotta check more of his infinite catalogue soon! but upon seeing his shot here and the high compatibility, i just had to add you! hehe ohhhh and yeeesss!! i mean, am not very updated on contemporary releases to tell the truth, so i lack much of a reference for comparison, and i reckon i'm suspicious to give an opinion being completely fanatic and obsessive about beck as i am, but indeeeed!! love morning phase to death!! twas a real thrill to see beck revisit his sea change days, and so spectacularly as he did!

Eslam! Yeah I love the new Sleepover Series. Seems like they just keep making these unbelievable sounds. I will check Kyle if you say its similar to SOTL. Let me know which tracks to listen to at first.. At the moment I'm just listening to the Bing & Ruth album, but it's a bit different..
