I'm very happy to find a new listener to Joan Armatrading. Her album "Me Myself I" was very important for me when it came out. Since then I haven`t listened at her actively, but I saw her live two years ago here in Helsinki, it was great, so I had a nostalgy trip and have been playing it for my younger friends, who didn't know her music before. There are many artists at Your charts, which I don't know, so I'll have to study them soon! Have a nice weekend!

I'm pimpin' the Sunparlour Players album today -- go listen, fall in love and download. And then throw your 2 cents onto my thread on the message board -- I can't love this band anymore than I do!

Not sure if you saw my post on the eMu boards - I have a new one you should check out: Sirs by Welcome. Pop riffs with punk attitude. Kinda like Syd Barrret hooked up with Sonic Youth at a party hosted by the E6 Collective and Pavement just happened to be there to catch the whole thing on tape. Damn fun. Highlights: All Set, Marry Me Men, Natural Frost, This Minute

I see you scrobbling a Ska Cubano - can't help but be curious. Would I dig it? BTW - go grab the 4 free Baby Teeth tunes on www.daytrotter.com. They're fab!

Okay, I'm going to sound like I'm nagging now. The Boggs. I just pimped them on the eMusic board. You have listened to them, right?

The new Boggs album is fabulous! I haven't listened to them before, haven't really concentrated on the lyrics, but I'm lovin' the vibe they're throwing down.

I've checked out the Balkan Beat Box once already -- just keep forgetting to bring it to work where I do most of my listening. I REALLY dig it though. Checking out that Au Revoire Simone here shortly.

Hey - see you listening to Dosh. I finally downloaded him after I saw him at the Andrew Bird show a few weeks ago. The Lost Take is a pretty good album.

Got one for you: The Apparitions. Incredibly well-crafted pop/rock tunes. Sometimes they rock a y'alternative twang, or a bit of a guitar-driven punk vibe, or that dark Interpol thing but with classic rock grandeur. Check out Electricity and Drums, God Monkey Robot & Arrhythmia.

I really dig the Small Sail's on the daily download today. It's been stashed -- I don't think I've ever anticipated anything on such a consistent basis like I do my downlaods -- and this is coming from a girl without a steady supply of lovin'! ;-)

You threw me for a sec! I see a pic for Andy McKee (know idea who that is) in your listened tracks - bald dude with facial hair in an organish shirt. You're a bald dude with facial hair and I've seen pics of you in an organish shirt. Thought maybe it was your alter ego at first!

Cool! He was great live, as I remember. Another album added to my SFL. *sigh* My refresh date just can't come soon enough this month!

Hey, see you listening to Dosh. Would he happen to be a drummer? Saw some dude name Dosh (if I remember correctly) tour with Andrew Bird last year and he was fabulous.

Glad you dig Birdmonster - I think the eMu community would totally dig them. Too bad they're not there. LOVING the samples of Noonday Underground, but alas, I'm outta downloads. Saved for next month!

Well finally got around to giving blue van a go - thanks for the rec - this year's answer to the bees?

Peace Harbour was nice, sort of bit Red House Painters which is always welcome. Haven't tried Blue Van yet, but another european retro-rocker outfit that i like is the Trashmonkeys. German mod-inspired simple rock'n'roll.

Your musical compatibility rating with DrMoxie is: Very Low You share a few artists in common, including Calexico. Apparently the paradigm has shifted in the last 4 hours and we were kicked off that fence.

I wonder who it is. Downside to no liner notes. Not that I'd download her, but can't help but wonder why Hold Steady would take her. Huh. I babble.

What do you think of the chick that sings along with Hold Steady on Chillout Tent? It irks me -- I find it quite (surprisingly) bad. Your .02?
