Yay, for following my lead. Let me know if the Blues guy is any good. I haven't seen the film, but I now shall. I might look it up tomorrow as I have nothing much planned. the Blues tag radio on here is actually not too bad. There is plenty of the original Blues pioneers, rather than Blues-inspired more modern stuff. Not that Clapton and the like don't make an appearance, but it's still properly weighted in the direction it should be.

Hey you. Long time since last check in. How are you? It seems like quite a while since I touched base with ya. Since last, I went waaay off base with my normal listening habits. There has been a lot of Blues, Folk, Swing. I've even been hanging in Blues bars drinking bourbon and rye (which I really didn't like until, well, now).I've had fun. My old love of dirty bass and beats is starting to reassert it's influence though. What's new with you?

"Plad". "Played" sounds American, and just wrong. If I'm pronouncing it wrong, I will petition the band to change their pronunciation to the way I say it, and once they've heard me they will acquiesce with my request. Why? Because I am right and no mortal can disagree. Or something.

I dont know if you already do, but if not, you should keep your eye on the line-up at Matter, London. On Friday Roni Size was playing, on Sat, Booka shade were. Coming up in the next 6 weeks are Vitalic, John Digweed, Timo Maas, Grandmaster Flash and Jazzy Jeff (not joking), DJ Sneak, MSTRKRFT, Paul Van Dyke, (Adam) Freeland, Laurent Garnier and Armand Van Helden. Granted some of these are DJ sets, but a fair few are them Live. The venue is in the O2.

too right I'm down as a "maybe", my travel there and back is already paid for (thanks, Oyster travel card), so if a spare few quid materialises between now and then and I can get a ticket, I shall be there. I all depends on whether or not my money comes through from my insurance in time! I haven't been to a gig in a while and I feel like I've fallen out of the life music scene quite badly. Ether '09 us a chance for me to rectify that a little. How have you been?

The new Squarepusher ep is amazing, less noodling than the last two and more in your face. I hope syntheme is going to be good at braindrop

Righty o, I've paid the deposit on a 4 berth for the weekender so I need £122.50 out of you asap so we can pay the rest. The line-up so far is positively filthy.
