Finished listening to all your recs. I've actually already heard the Low and Black Tambourine albums but relistened anyway, really enjoy both. I think you'd like Swirlies' Blonder Tongue Audio Baton. I really loved the Underground Lover's record so more like that would be great. also i've been looking to get into american primitivism, i listened to one or two John Fahey albums at one point and enjoyed them. here's some random shoegaze recs i feel like you deserve them lol. The Ecstacy of Saint Theresa - Susarrate, Skywave - Synthstatic

There's one thing I don't understand though... and that it that people buy digitally recorded albums on vinyl, digital recordings are awful on vinyl like how analog recordings aren't as good digitally. I know that Unwound did there recordings digitally so I don't exactly get why you would buy those on vinyl, yes they are cool to have and show off but they sound better digitally, when I start my collection I'm just going to have classic vinyls from the early 80's and so on... but there are rare coincidences were bands will record in analog and release there albums as vinyls, even now, it's actually becoming more popular again. I just want a record player mostly to get the full psychedelic experience of the late 60's.

Does are some nice vinyls, especially the husker du and unwound ones, I'm wanting to start a vinyl collection but I'm gonna wait until I have my own place to where I can take good care of them.

I haven't gone to any fests but I watched the live stream of it, Iceage sounded like garbage to me, there a good band but they suck live. But I think Viet Cong, Courtney Barnett and Mac Demarco killed it, Mac's performance especially shocked me, I just think of his music as average but his live performance was great. I couldn't take Perfume Genius seriously... I watched the Freddie Gibbs performance instead, he is alright but he is annoying, FUCK POLICE FUCK POLICE... s/o to Madlib, white people man, that sums up what he was saying between songs... I want to go to p4k fest, I'll probably go next year since I'll have a vehicle and a license by then, I actually tried for my license today but fvcked up parallel parking, still mad about it.

Also, having to drive or hitch rides just to go places is extremely annoying, it's one of the things I hate most about where I live, it's so expensive to to have to drive miles just to pick up a damn pizza.

I know people lie about there lives on the internet lol, that was what I was nodding at, but I believe you since you are consistent with opinions and whatnot. I live in a extremely small town, where I live isn't even a town, it's just out in the woods near a river and a lake. Scenery is nice but it's pretty boring living here. There are only community colleges around me, there is a mid-size college like 50 miles away from me though. Also, what's a pa and ma? I never been to a record store, unfortunately and people here use walmart as a hangout place lol, nothing funner than hanging out in a moshpit of consumerism lol. My real life friends don't really share similar tastes in music than me, besides a few bands we all agree on but that's it, I don't see it as a huge priority to have friends that share all the same opinions as me, I actually like to discuss different views, but I'd guess it could be easier to get along with someone with the same views but I don't really have that.

I don't know what to do in college, I was just going to take my basics but I would really like to take a year off and work full time until I could go travel or something... it's something I've thought about doing, actually me and a friend was talking about doing this together, I have a bunch of money saved up right now but I need to buy a vehicle with that so it really isn't like I can spend that on whatever I want. It seems like everybody I met from Y!A just about has had a pretty interesting life but mine is dull and predictable, does this have something to do with musical interests you think? idk lol

You lived in Europe? Damn, and here I am unable to leave my state lol. I'm out of High School, I graduated last month. I'm a different person offline as well, I tend to be more aggressive as well when I am online than in person, I won't take anything from anybody on the internet but in real life I let a lot of stuff slide because I am kinda a pacifist.

You wasn't a jerk dude, I dealt with so many jackasses in my life that you seem pretty nice to me and yeah I'm doing the best I can with what I have, it's all I can do, still haven't been able to move but I'm gonna go to college and get a part time job whenever someone finally hires me so that should eventually get me outta here, also do I type southern?

Gildan... no I will not pay $18 for a $3 shirt with a logo. Now if they were American Apparel then maybe I would consider, I could buy a shirt logo printer and blank shirts and save a lot of money in the long run, that was if I really wanted some band shirts, I have a bad brains shirt that I wear religiously but I'll never buy one again just because of how overpriced they are.

I've listened to cows, they are pretty good, I also have listened to Survival Knife, there good but it's nothing compared to unwound. You should check out lowercase, they are pretty similar to early unwound. I would buy some unwound shirts if I cared enough about my appearance, keep my head shaved and wear solid shirts, like Ian Mackaye lol.

Well thanks... and of course I know that's Brian Jones, it's one of the main reasons why I like that design so much, everything unwound ever did was great!!!

Haven't listened to the other composers you're meaning to check out and I assume you already know about Schoenberg, Messiaen, Webern, Stravinsky and all the other 20th century greats. If not, I'll gladly rec some of their stuff, which you can find on what.cd and therefore skip all the soulseek trouble.

Hey. Get Schnittke's Symphony no. 1, which is actually his second: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/royal_stockholm_philharmonic_orchestra___leif_segerstam/symphony_no__1/ and his string quartets: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/the_tale_quartet/string_quartets_nos__1_3/ . Boulez is famous for his "Repons", but I didn't get to it yet: http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/ensemble_intercontemporain___pierre_boulez___alain_damiens/repons__dialogue_de_lombre_double/
