Dang. I'm so jealous. It just looks like a super awesome snow party. Far out, Sufjan was last night. Sooo epic. You have to see him if you can. Him and his like, 14 piece band were dressed in these fluro, tribal space outfits with face paint and everything. At the end of Impossible Soul hundreds of balloons came down from the roof. Everyone went super crazy. I was in the front row. My friends and I had a handmade card that we mamaged to pass to him in between his songs. :)

Yeah, a Sufjan concert. I don't think he's very popular here. It's a small venue, the tickets have been on sale for three months and it's still not completely sold out! I managed to get front row seats, so my friends and I have made a wee gift that we're hoping to pass to him. :) An Australian/NZ holiday sounds real good. I'd love to come to the States one day, I have friends in Indiana that I'd like to visit. A white Christmas would be sweet!

We are quite nearly fully compatible, so I decided to add you here too, if that's okay.

hi there! age of adz is... different. not typical sufjan, but i'm kind of madly in love with it. it really had to grow on me though, at first. there are a few weak songs on the album, but songs like vesuvius and impossible soul totally make up for them. and seeing it live was the most surreal thing. it's amazing. did you like it? and aw man it's so hard to pick a favorite mountain goats album hahah, but start with all hail west texas, the sunset tree, and tallahassee. or get lonely, if you really like being depressed.

ahahah, the only time they played in France was when I didn't knew about them...they played near where I live 4 years ago and I didn't new a thing, you're a lucky man... The best show I can remember was Slipknot, during a festival...me and my friend where like "yeeeahh maaaan slipknooot fuck the wooooorld", the last show after 3 days without any sleep, in the middle of 2meters giants punching everyone around in the mud and dust, I lost my shoes...well it was kinda fun....

Good idea ! Well my personnal favourite is "Alien Lanes"...but this era is definitely when they released the best albums...so "bee thousand" and "Under The Bushes Under The Stars" are also amazing....but there is a lot of tracks on each of these albums so you should listen to them with attention... that was my mistake : I downloaded a lot of their stuff so it took time to finally recognize one track from another... And you seriously saw Lightning Bolt ?! daaaaaaamn....

Elliott Smith is WONDEFUL. I'd recommend picking up a copy of his album 'Either/Or' and then moving on to his self-titled record after that. With our musical compatibility I'm surprised you weren't already familiar with him! In exchange, do you have any recommendations to make for me?

great!!! they are so cool on stage :D i think its because of their age... not arrogant, just cool... and the music sounds better than on CD... and the singer pointed at us because we danced in contrast to the other :D

Compulsively, of course hahah. I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet though, unfortunately. I mean, I have this weird unconditional love for everything he does, but it doesn't really compare to most of his other music. I absolutely cannot wait to see him at the Chicago Theater, gonna be a magical show :]]]
