p.s. Lately, because soon I'm going to see Gizzards 3 times within a week, I've been focusing of live versions of fav tracks [ofc I made another playlist for that, being a playlist maniac] p.s. 2. Yes, Butterfly 3001 is purely electronic remixes - and Dragonapocalypse is pure thrash. And I don't really like Theia, which is purely electronic too ! So go figure it out for yourself, take your time - KGLW are a great band of individuals who each make their own music, have their own bands.Tells a lot about their creativity and fertility in the past years. I hope I helped you anyhow, cheers !

I can not thank you enough for this. It's an overwhelming discography, I am going to get back at it, with these recommendations in mind. Extremely helpful.

Hey ! Just noticed your shout in the Gizzards shoutbox. My method was: play all the most popular KGLW tracks on last.fm. Then I checked the albums from which tracks I liked. E.g. Kepler 22b = I slowly discovered the whole of the Omnium Gatherum, track by track. Just playing the whole discography at random. Really. I made my own Spotify playlist and threw everything there is on Spotify into it. AND STILL I'm not sure I've heard every track from every album :) /// I guess you could start with the graphical road maps that you can find either in google or e.g. in the gizz fans reddit group. If you ask "where should I start?" many people will direct you to the albums they like, but first of all look at the maps. And decide based on what you like. Me? My first fav albums were Butterfly 3001 and Dragonapocalypse. Good luck !

Oh, man. While I’ve been binging his discography, I have said the same fucking thing in my head a hundred times, haha. Great username, as good an excuse as any, to put it on.

Awesome taste, dude! I need to check out more of your #1 all time top artist. Interesting story regarding them. Blut aus Nord is super awesome for sending a care package to a friend of a friend, that friend was given that care package. One of his friends (don't know him) gave it to my friend since he's a big fan of Blut aus Nord. I remember doing something similar with my friend. I gave my friend a CD & shirt from Sexcrement. Interestingly, I ordered that CD & shirt on a site, but by mistake they sent me another. So I gave the extra one to my longtime personal friend. This was back in 2007. The thing is, he didn't know Sexcrement at all. We listened to them together one day. So it was cool that I got him into a new band, at the time. I was listening to Sexcrement's demo before they released their first proper album.

Man, I love stuff like that. There’s nothing like sharing new bands with people and getting involved. Just from being in bands, I’ve gotten to know the owner of the label Blut Aus Nord is signed to and he says the main guy behind BaN is super nice but private. He said he’d only met him like twice in over a decade of working together. Hes a genius imo.

Hey, I remember you from your kind shout on the Swans page and just saw you posting on John Coltrane of all places, which was a really neat surprise. I agree with what the other user recommended, but I'd also add for you specifically to listen to Transition (it's very similar to A Love Supreme, just a little more experimental and improvised) and the free-form releases Ascension, Interstellar Space and Sun Ship, since I've noticed fans of hardcore and prog/extreme metal often gravitate to those ones. Nice charts btw, makes me wanna get back into Edge of Sanity and Blut Aus Nord.

Thank you kindly for these recommendations, I am going to be looking into them this week. The titles for Ascension and Sun Ship grab my attention immediately, for one reason or another. BaN is probably tied with King Crimson and Swans as my favorite band. Each album feels like a unique world to get lost in. Edge of Sanity on the other hand, I was really late to the party on, I love how they will randomly have a song or two that sounds like an extremely gloomy Killing Joke or other post-punk band, it throws me for a loop every time, love it.
