there was atime, when Mod was already over and Skinhead turned into a nationwide movement, with plenty of violence and hooliganism. A pure Mod/Hard Mod werent happy about some things: subculture movement has to be SUB ( non commercial) not part of a fashion flash, violence has never been a part of a smart Mod anyway, same with beerdrinking (as we know the "later" Mods/Skinheads).
