hey kids! lets learn the difference between scene and scenecore! scenecore is literal shit from a butt created in 2020, scene is a gem of a subculture from the 2000s/2010s! anyways who wants to go listen to millionaires and 3OH!3

yeah i remember that when i was a kid too and everyone i knew hated it except the two 'scene' kids in class everyone bullied. scenecore i actually like listening to. i do love millionaires though even if i only really got in to them in 2020. but really how can you get on a high horse and shit on this when you will defend 3oh!3 who just put me to sleep with how boring and uninspired they are? i rewatched one of their videos the other night and it has aged horribly and its obvious from the thumbnail that they only got big because of knowing how to work the pre 2012 youtube trending page algorithm where only views and clickthru rate mattered not view time. i hated 3oh!3 in 2010 and i hate them now. along with all the shitty metalcore which to me is the genre i remember more from that era and scenecore thankfully dropped from its influences. but to me you just sound like the middle aged men on r/music in 2011 crying about teens not getting into queen another mediocre and overrated band

I think we're seeing a bit of a scenecore revival the last couple years. Palaye Royale, Waterparks, Ice Nine Kills are all pushing the scene in new directions. Plus older scenecore bands like Hawthorne Heights, Vendetta Red, and The Pink Spiders all released good albums this year.

"To state that you enjoy the music, but not the image is a little worrying, considering the fact that this genre of music is all about image." Uhh not really. I like high pitched vocals, melodramatic lyrics, breakdowns, and noodly guitars. That doesn't mean I need to look like a walking billboard for Hot Topic. Also I'm sorry it took me 5 years to respond to this.

It is a stupid non-existent genre but it's the best way to classify these bands everyone likes to call Post-Hardcore, Hardcore, Emo and Screamo but have more in common with Pop-Rock than Saetia. [3]

Are we just randomly throwing together words in this tag like a toddler flinging food onto the kitchen wall?

Orchid and Converge are the first real hardcore (or metalcore or screamo, w/e) bands scene kids listen to.

complaining that your band has been tagged as scenecore just validates their scenecoreyness [2] But Converge shouldn't be here, seriously...
