Hip-hop music blended with such styles as harsh noise, industrial and even shoegaze. Public Enemy and their production team Bomb Squad pioneered a style of loud, distorted hip-hop, while The Beatnigs were arguably the first industrial hip-hop group. Contemporary noise-hop artists include dälek, techno animal, chaos royale and food for animals to name a few.
