Groove Bass is a sub-style of Future Bass which focuses on funky/disco beats/vibes, without departing from the synths and bass waves as well as samples like 'water drops', 'bed squeaks' that characterizes Future Bass. This sub-style is more energetic, happy and danceable than other sub-styles like Lovestep or Neon, although not to the extreme like Kawaii Future Bass.

The tempo is slightly slower than the regular House music but can reach the typical BPM in certain songs (90-120 BPM). Musically speaking, most songs use a House-like (especifically Nu-Disco) 4/4 to the dancefloor beat on the drops, and at the same time it present a sparse half-time rhythmics and soundwaves. Going back and forth with 4/4 rhythms with a kick drum on each beat or atmospheric sounds, while keeping the melodies.

One of the first artists probably to try a different way to produce Trap and Future Bass with Funky sounds were Mura Masa & Snakehips (sadly in the present they don't make this kind of music anymore), followed by Cosmo's Midnight, BAYNK, FLYES (fka: LOWSELF), 53 Thieves.
