An electronic music style which combines the elements of breakbeat and hip-hop.
The style originates from Baltimore, Maryland, United States and is said to have been invented around the late 80s.
Tracks are defined by having a blend of chopped house music with a 'hip-hop' baseline. It is based on an 8/4 beat structure and most tracks reach about 130 bpm. Tracks usually heavily feature a single, repetitive loop.
The style is very similar to Ghettotech.
