Recorded in late 1984 and unlike the band's future output, the band took influences from post-punk and garage rock bands such as The Cramps and the Birthday Party. The band’s best known lineup is Kevin Shields (vocals, guitar), Bilinda Butcher (vocals, guitar), Debbie Googe (bass) and Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums).
