Carolin No is a singer/songwriter duo consisting of Carolin Obieglo (born 17 March 1979 as Carolin Evi Weißenberg in Würzburg) and Andreas Obieglo (born 26 April 1978 in Deggendorf). After working in Berlin and the USA, the couple moved to Waldbüttelbrunn near Würzburg.

Carolin and Andreas met in 1999 during their studies at the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg. They have been married since 2008. The duo has been performing since 2007 under the name Carolin No, under which they have released six studio albums, numerous singles and two live recordings. The two named themselves after the song Caroline, no by Brian Wilson, found on the Beach Boys album Pet Sounds.

In 2010, the duo won the Young Talent Award for Young Song Poets of the Hanns Seidel Foundation and consequently performed at the Festival Songs an einem Sommerabend at Kloster Banz in 2011, 2016 and 2018 with Reinhard Mey, Konstantin Wecker, Hannes Wader and Viva Voce, among others, who also accompanied them on their 2011 tour. In 2010, the duo, previously based in Würzburg, moved to Berlin. Carolin No then had further big appearances in the ZDF morning magazine, in the Rundschau of Bavarian television and live with Ray Wilson and Joan Armatrading as tour support. In 2012 the two had their first appearances outside the German-speaking countries (in the Czech Republic and Denmark). A live DVD of an open-air concert at the Hafensommer in Würzburg was released in 2012. Her song Hear the Silence accompanies the light and sound show in the fairytale dome of the Feengrotten show mine.

Since 2015, the duo has been performing live both as a couple and as a band. In this, the duo is expanded by the musicians Tilmann Wehle on cello and Christian Kraus on drums. Already in 2011, the duo was supported by cellist Tilmann Wehle in the live implementation of their album Loveland. The promo photos for this album were taken by Thorsten Wingenfelder, guitarist and songwriter of the band Fury in the Slaughterhouse, which disbanded in 2008. The live concept of the band show included films and visuals that are projected synchronized with the music. The duo shows are purely acoustic. The 2012 single Ventura CA was created in collaboration with Jesse Siebenberg, son of Supertramp drummer Bob Siebenberg.

Carolin No has been producing her albums on her own since 2009. Her 2011 album Loveland was recorded almost exclusively in her former apartment in Berlin. Cellist Rebecca Carrington and former Robbie Williams background singer Colin Brown have participated. Until 2015, the lyrics were mostly in English and often of autobiographical content. On the album Loveland, they also process their experiences of a road trip through the USA lasting several months, which they undertook in 2009 and found formative both privately and professionally. The album was reviewed in Spiegel and Stern.

In addition to Carolin No, Andreas Obieglo realized his instrumental piano solo project Lieder in 2010, a CD with his versions of old folk songs. Konstantin Wecker wrote an accompanying text for the booklet. In the winter of 2012, Obieglo released Advent, his second solo album, with interpretations of traditional Christmas carols.

In September 2013, Carolin and Andreas Obieglo released their third Carolin No studio album Favorite Sin, which was supported for the first time by a nationwide tour and various radio interviews of the duo. Carolin No's fourth studio album Backstage followed in October 2014. The recordings for this album were made between September 2013 and September 2014, most of them not in the studio, but in various hotel and living rooms during their 2013 "Favorite Sin" tour and the duo's stay in the USA in the summer of 2014. In May 2016, the fifth studio album Ehrlichsagen was released, on which it presented exclusively german lyrics for the first time. In the summer of 2016, the duo toured as support for Suzanne Vega.

In 2017, the duo will publish a joint book with a music CD together with publicist Rainer Oberthür. On the CD Carolin.no reflect in songs and lyrics in a personal way the themes of children's letters presented in the book. In the same year, the completely acoustic duo album You & I was released, Carolin.no performed at the opening concert of the Hafensommer in their hometown together with the Philharmonic Orchestra Würzburg. In 2019, a continuation of Andreas Obieglo's piano solo project entitled Lieder II will be released, again with new versions of traditional folk tunes and accompanying text by Chris Beier. Carolin No announced a new studio album for the autumn of that year.
