kind of the platonic ideal for them. glossy and major label but still more punk than pop, lots of juvenilia but no air of self-parody, everything blurs together pleasantly but still with lots of peaks and valleys…glad to have a good vinyl rip for it

No album makes me play air guitar, air drums, and air bass the way this album does. Whenever I listen to it I feel it at my core.

Still have this album on cassette. I bought it in 2002, I guess. I remember I saw video "Stay Together For The Kids" on TV, I liked the song very much, so I when I saw this album on sale I immediately bought it.

This is one of the best sounding albums ever. Everything sounds so crisp and crystal clear - what a marvellous mix!

Thanks to the great Tom Lord-Alge and producer Jerry Finn (rest his soul). The guys really had a great studio team in their MCA/Geffen days.

I honestly find this one the weakest pre-Skiba tbh. A little too cheesy and squeaky for my taste, whereas everything that came before was more punky and the two after took a darker tone.

Even though I don't like some of these songs' lyrics or the way they sing them that much, they still sound great and I love this band and this album :D Don't care if it's pop or mainstream.

Solid, though I can't say that it's my favourite. First Date, The Rock Show and Stay Together for the Kids are real bangers for me.

While it may not be there best album I still have a soft spot for it since I went through all my teen years with it. It's way better then some other "pop-punk" albums mind like All Killer No Filler and fucking New Found Glory!

I'm a female and I understand perfectly fine. I might not relate to all of the songs, but I understand.

Just realized today that the lead vocals go tom, mark, tom, mark, tom, mark, then both, then mark, tom, mark, tom, mark, tom. Amazing.

One of my most cherished teenage album purchases. I remember taking the sleeve out and thinking the entire CD case design was so damn brilliant, especially the holes lining up with each songs' icons on the insert. 10 years later, I can still automatically sing along with every single song.

"take off your pants and jack it" is all you ever need to know about this band.

I must have listened to this album every day for years. It's the perfect pop punk album. Every song could have been a single.

It was my favourite album when I was 14, probably because I hardly ever listened to rock music before and it all sounded really fresh to me. After five years, I think it's blink's worst album, most of the lyrics are really horrible. Still like it in a strange nostalgic way though, haha.
