Remember 2007 when people in this shoutbox were like "aww memories" and "nostalgic!"?

I had forgotten about this track until I began having my VHS tapes digitised, the music video appears on some of my 2001 recordings of the Network Ten series Video Hits.

@TylerSymes No, Iron Maiden wasn't that popular in 2000. This is more a song about the writer's experience of beinga teenager in the 80's. Think about the other references. She wears Keds and tube socks? Her boyfriend drives a an Iroc? Come on! But, kids in the 00's could still relate to the themes in the song of being a dork and having a crush on someone you think is out of your leauge. Also, only the metalheads, alt-nerds and stoners knew who Iron Maiden was by the time I got to highschool. So, us dorks that weren't in the more popular crowds could relate to that part as well.

I was kind of in love with a girl named Noel in high school and this always reminded me of her. Yesterday I learned that she's now engaged and has a kid. I don't want to like this song anymore but I can't help it

I remember that thing coming out in what 2000 2001 .. still querky and cool. It's so strange to hear the dude talk, cause his speaking voice is totally normal.

Sigh, still it's the new radio edit. Doesn't censor the line Boyfriends a Dick, but does censor the next line of He brings a gun to school. I suppose in the current climate it makes sense but still it seems rather odd
