Its use in The Color of Money is maybe the greatest needledrop in a movie ever. Doom.

"Little old lady got mutilated late last night" is one of the most satisfying lines ever, lol. It rolls off the tongue so perfectly; alliteration and consonance heaven.

Only Warren could make the line "little old lady got mutilated late last night" funny.

Is that "dit" sound he makes towards the end of the track a recorded error, or did he mean to just say "dit" for no good reason?

Zevon wrote this with guitarist Robert "Waddy" Wachtel. When Zevon was working with The Everly Brothers, he hired Wachtel to play in their backing band. At one point, Phil Everly asked them to write a dance song for the Everly Brothers called "Werewolves Of London." Wachtel and Zevon were good friends and were strumming guitars together when someone asked what they were playing. Zevon replied, "Werewolves Of London," and Wachtel started howling. Zevon came up with the line "I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand," and they traded lyrics back and forth until they had their song. (thanks to the good people at warrenzevon.com for their help with this) http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=1287

Warren Zevon is one of my favorite writers, but damn. Enough with Werewolves of London! Listening to the radio, you would think this is the only song he had. If i never heard this again that would b alright. Please radio stations of America play some of his other genius songs! I implore u! There's not enough room here 2 list them.
