Tell Me That It’s Over is the second studio album released by Wallows on March 25, 2022. The album was announced on social media on February 4 alongside the release of the single “Especially You”. It features an experimental sound and thematically focuses on relationships in early adulthood, contrasting on how their debut Nothing Happens focused on graduating from one’s youth.
“It’s about when you’re in the early stages of a relationship and you get so worried that the other person’s mind will change at the flip of a switch, it’s about stressing over the smallest things for no reason, but it’s definitely self-aware about the fact that I’m doing this all to myself,” singer and bassist Dylan Minnette said about lead single “I Don’t Want to Talk."
Wallows would release a third and final single "At the End of the Day" with a music video on March 4, 2022. The trio also hosted a virtual listening party with fans the day before the album's release.
