W.A.S.P. experienced difficulties releasing this track. It was intended to be on their self-titled debut, but Capitol Records forced the band to omit it, fearing backlash due to the explicit lyrics. After "Animal" was released as a single through a different company, it (and the cover art, a closeup of Blackie Lawless' saw blade codpiece) alarmed the Parents' Music Resource Center, who put it on their official list of the 15 songs they wanted to ban.
