Love the urban feel and the many post-punk moments on Breaking. I don't think I've ever heard a banda like that

Frightened has grown on me quite some! Plus seeing most of it performed live at the album release gig was amazing. Got to witness The Actress, Vicarious Lover and Cold Harbour Lane live too! Absolutely amazing!

New album is different... But good so far. Feels more like a collection of songs and less proggy compared to London which had longer compositions and a running theme/atmosphere

I feel like they do the black/death riffs better than Akercocke, but the unorthodox and clean sections that were great in Akercocke come off as kind of corny and forced here.

They were absolutely perfect; Sam Loynes is a beast of a guitarist. Check out his other band [artist]Shrines[/artist] and this review: http://www.avenoctum.com/2014/11/voices-london-black-heart-221114/

The band officially found their footing with "London". Not to say their first album wasn't great, but it lacked the direction I knew the band was capable of. I hope I can see them live someday.

Listened to them today after several years worshipping Akercocke, and... severely disappointed. Too much noise, too little feeling. I miss the subtlety and sexuality of Akercocke, their great musical composition, their variety of expression. And Mendonca's voice which used to give me shivers... Guys, please come back, I miss you...(
