The drums and drum sound on this one are a highlight, IMO. I wouldn't want every album to sound this way, but having these constantly pounding kicks stomping all over everything gives it a lot of hard-hitting propulsion and aggression; there are few albums I can think of that just bash away so relentlessly at your senses; it almost sounds like some particularly harsh Industrial music at times as a result of the drumming and the way the drums have been mixed. I don't think that Vader often achieved real greatness -- I view them more as a dependable band rather than an outstanding one -- but they came really close here. Definitely one to put on when you're in the mood for a merciless ass-kicking.

My thoughts exactly. The way the drums are mixed would probably ruin most albums, but in Litany it gives the music a unique, pummeling dimension to it. Definitely unlike any other album I've heard

A brutalidade desse disco e dessa bateria é algo nunca antes visto na história da música.

The bass drum was so needlessly loud that I had to turn off my sound enhancer just to hear the riffing and vocals clearly.
