off the top of my head it's vaguely similar to Between Us and Them and some of his work with Jonas Munk like Johnny (Sentimental Fool) where the guitars are more pronounced

Times goes by and Faraway Trains Passing By remains one of the most beautiful albums of its genre

Ulrich recently re-mastered, remixed and rerecorded most of his discography into a new compilation called "Now Is A Timeless Present - A Retrospective". It's out on all streaming services and if I'm not mistaken you can pre-order a vinyl box-set for this on his website for release in early 2020. So if you're wondering why his works disappeared from streaming services for a while, it's all back and better than ever! Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/album/1xcnnOe2XHTlMvvcIOoPRQ

Now unfortunately Spotify added the stupid " - Remastered 2019" to the song titles and the last.fm charts are polluted again.

I get what you mean, but Ulrich has actually remastered and even rewritten a lot of his discography with that release, and each song is now a little different, so as a means of signifying that change I think that's the best that last.fm's got 🤷♂️

Wow I didn't know he rewrote the tracks, I thought it was just a remaster. Will check them out then.

My appreciation for Far Away Trains Passing By has only increased with time, even though I immediately fell in love with it. This may be because it fell into my life when certain circumstances made a large shift in my consciousness, but I listened to it again today for the first time in a long time- as it is an exceptionally emotive album for me, to the point of being difficult to listen to- and fell in love with it again, but with intense tears. There's something about it that is so open, loving and yet melancholic. It's like being caught in a massive rain storm, being caught in the downpour yet being ecstatic.

Curious to see no one mentionned the song "Stars" plays all the time on TV in a Cadillac ad... [2] Was at a family friend's house the other night and heard this from the other room. I knew it right away!
