Glam Metal is one of my favorite genres, I love the sound and look of it all, Twisted Sister is my favorite band from the genre, I know some people will just hate on it but I just love it all, and that's my opinion

They're probably responsible for my love of heavy metal music. My first exposure (or one of my first exposures) to heavy metal music, thanks to Pee-wee's Big Adventure. I watched it in my family room sometime around 1990-1991 (probably before July 1991, it had to before the incident that got Paul Reubens arrested). I was around 5-7 years old at the time. I might have watched this later, I'm not 100% sure. During the chase scene in that movie, there's a part where Twisted Sister is filming a music video and Pee-wee interrupts it. Initially, I thought Dee Snider sang "you're going to hell!" at first, but then later learned it was Burn In Hell years later.

Dear god man, I don't need to look into the future 100 years from now to know that supporting Ukraine is the right thing to do. I, myself, am fully aware of my position on these matters, and am "parroting" no "fashion trends". Don't assume I haven't informed myself simply because you may hold a differing opinion.

One of the biggest craps of metal/rock scenes. Last album released in 80's, only 2 hits, unbelievable arrogant frontman and mouth full of bullshits how important they are from their guitar player. They are that much desperate that they have to come over to one good song they have 'We're not gonna take it' and do christmas versions, acoustic versions etc. When this horrible fail band stopped, Snider in his solo career realized, that he has no other hits so he has to play WNGTI twice on his solo gigs. As bonus, check his performance from Masters of Rock from Czech Republic. This asshole called out a fan in the first row and called her a bitch just because she didn't sing along. I really hope this band will be forgotten soon forever.

Oh really? I would like to hear more. I never listened to Twister Sister and probably never will, but this captured my interest. It's just that Last fm keeps suggesting me Twisted Sister, Ratt, Warrant, Tesla, and Quiet Riot that I think I'm gonna go crazy.

Those bands that you mentioned are definetely more worth to listen than Twisted Sister clowns. If you want to check stupidity and arrogance from their frontman that i mentioned, check it on youtube

Oh really, so Ratt and Warrant are better? I mean I heard many people say they're bad like they got some grudge against them for producing music or smth. I mean I thought they're fine. I listened to a couple hits, but I can't ever become a fan.

Producer Tom Werman didn't have the highest opinion on the musical chops of Twisted Sister. The vocalist Dee Snider wrote the songs on his own. When I was in high school, one of my closest friends was a punk chick who idolised the Sex Pistols and Sid Viscous. We swapped our share of music with me offering up my extensive library of 80s party metal which was my bread and butter at the time. It was Twisted Sister with their relative simplicity compared to the other bands I was showing that she gravitated towards the most. There's certainly something to be said for keeping it simple, that's for sure.

Haha, my 666th played artist on Last.fm. Great band, they have an image of being a hair metal band, but they're so much better than that! So many great metal anthems!

a cool band with an incredibly melodic guitarist whose name is French, an incredibly strong vocalist with raucous, melodic, sexy vocals by Dee Snider, Mendoza's bass parts, which are also addictive, rest in peace, drummer A.J., your parts were incredible. Dee Snider is incredible, he wrote almost all the songs, lyrics in the group

My earliest exposure to Twisted Sister was in Pee-wee's Big Adventure. It was actually also one of my earliest exposures to heavy metal in general. This was in the late 1980's or early 1990's. I remember as a young child, I misheard the lyrics in Burn in Hell. I thought they were singing "ya goin' to hell!" and not "you're gonna burn in hell!" LOL!

Dee Snider is one of the most underrated vocalists in metal. Twisted Sister weren’t a pop metal act like Bon Jovi or Poison (both great bands, by the way). Their metal was served neat. No bullshit. The voice, those riffs, the fuck you attitude of the band. Hell, Lemmy loved ‘em. There’s your seal of approval if there ever was one.

That's great, because their music was simply heavy metal. They've said it so many times over the years. They weren't like Poison or Cinderella. Those bands were glam. TS was simply heavy. Don't let your eyes fool you. :) Trust your ears. ;)
