With a less polished-up sound and looking for inspiration in their hometown Glasgow, , GLA is the third LP from the scottish band Twin Atlantic, and their fourth release, including the mini-album Vivarium. Released in September 9th, 2016, the record borrows its title "GLA" from Glasgow's airport code, and was produced in Los Angeles by the irish producer Jacknife Lee.
GLA received very positive reviews in general, comparing it to acts like Biffy Clyro, Muse, The Black Keys and Royal Blood. The more abrasive, heavy, straightforward atmosphere of the 12 tracks lead NME, for example, to nickname Twin Atlantic, along with bands like The 1975, as "Trojan rock": penetrating the radio and popular attention with a polished image, albeit bringing up an alternative sound to which the greater audiences wouldn't be, at first, open to.
