This song doesn't completely rip you apart until you've had this experience happen to you. Now i feel every single note, inflection, lyric and breath.

I think the saddest would be a three-way tie between "Me and a Gun," "Spark," and "Playboy Mommy," personally.

I'm so tired of reading these kate bush - tori amos - bjork - joni mitchell - pj harvey comparisons! they are all so different, they are all distinct artists

One of my favourite Tori-Amos-tracks! I love the sound of the modified piano.

this is definitely about a friendship that changes and warps into something unrecognizable. two women who have different views, and one woman who lets her relationship with a man get between her and her friend. I had a friend like that who let her current boyfriend make her bitter and angry...she was also jealous of my happiness. Everytime I hear this song, it reminds me of that...how fragile all human relationships are, even though you can never imagine breaking apart from that person. You can't stop what's coming, can't stop what is on its way...

This was amazing this summer ('09) in Boston. Really chilling. The not even you... pure bliss. Wow.

One of my favourite songs by Tori. The simple arrangement highlights the melancholy of the song. And a beautiful vocal performance, of course.

That *entire* Boston 19th show is a-fucking-mazing. If you haven't got the L&Bs, you're absolutely missing out. Incredible incredible shows - but then we wouldn't expect any less, would we! :)
