“Body and Soul” is a cinematic cover of Libby Holman’s 1930 song that features vocals from English singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse. The song, recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, was Winehouse’s final studio recording, taking place on March 23, 2011, exactly four months before her tragic death.

The cover was the first single released from Winehouse’s posthumous album "Lioness: Hidden Treasures", having been released September 14, 2011 – what would have been her 28th birthday.

"She was one of the truest jazz singers I ever heard. For me, she should be treated like Ella Fitzgerald, like Billie Holiday – she had the complete gift. If she had lived, I would have said, “Slow down, you’re too important.” Life teaches you, really, how to live it if you can live long enough."

– Bennett via the 2015 AMY documentary.
