Really, really close second to "Aegis" for me. The atmosphere on here is great - makes me think of exploring old, decaying castles on foggy nights.

I truly believe this is the most important, iconic and complete album in the entire genre. It's truly the definition of the 90's gothic/doom beauty-and-the-beast thing and probably the only who was capable of doing it for me without never really sounding cheesy like most correlate bands did. My music taste changed and evolved a lot though a decade but still I consider this album a class act.

Their best album by far. Not even close, for me at least! The debut and Aegis are both good too though.

this record was, is and always will be an everlasting masterpiece. not one single weak moment on the album. perfect flow. there are very few recordings from any other band, that reach the perfect awesomeness (or is it awesome perfection?) of this one (well, "Widow's Weeds" from Tristania can compete).

That's not Old English, they used to perform in Early Modern English. Old would be rather incomprehensible for modern listener.

I still love this album, though now I prefer another music genres. It is just perfect, beautiful lyrics, like a finished play.
