Listening to this album for the first, some of the songs on the first side seemed a little flat to me. But this is really colourfull and bright :)

3 perfect minutes of pure psychedelic vocal harmonies BLISS! Can't wait to see The Zombies at Austin Psych Fest in May! I hope they play this timeless ode to freedom!

A sweet confusion filled my mind Until I woke up only finding everything was just a dream A dream unusual of its kind That gave me peace and blew my mind And now I'm hung up on a dream...

so wonderful how music can capture such particular emotional states... the way this song evokes a certain Romantic reverie/ecstasy, incredible...

Odessey & Oracle > Sgt. Pepper's and Pet Sounds This is the shining moment of the record. Shimmering springtime bliss-out with poetic lyrics and gorgeous vocal harmonies. "Sometimes I think I'll never find such purity and peace of mind again."

The Zombies are ridiculously under-rated. The only famous song of theirs is Time of the Season, but most of Odessey and Oracle is better imo, especially this and Care of Cell 44.

Love this song. No idea the Zombies had it in them a year ago. Only heard their hits but they got so much more. This being my favorite.
