This record sounds like the Beach Boys had much more of an influence than the Beatles did

You sound like a boomer asking why all that rapper guy music sounds like Kanye and Eminem. It's you broadcasting your inexperience and unfamiliarity with the music. Out of touch to the extreme

i do this same thing, the album or song is so lovely i spend hours straight listening to it, to the point of exhaustion, it comes a moment when song and self fuses in one indistinguishable thing, man and music become one, sound waves forever burned in the soul, love the zombies uwu

Basically this is Pet Sounds without the manic-depressive pressure behind it [2]

for some odd reason, this album is so much easier to get into than pet sounds.

Up there with Pet Sounds, Forever Changes, and Rubber Soul as one of my favorite 60s albums.

No, this IS the greatest album of the sixties. "Why did I not get around to listening to this album before yesterday?" LOL I think everyone asks themselves this question after hearing this. More pepper than pepper, more vibrations than vibrations. THIS is what everyone else was trying to do back then. Only the Zombies succeeded this well. [2]

People were comparing MGMT's new album to this, so I checked it out. Have to say, shit is pretty damn good, I really like it.

Amazing album. Glad to have found out about it. I agree that it is better than Pet Sounds and up there with any Beatles album.
