"You Can't Hurry Love" is song originally recorded by the seminal group The Supremes for the Motown label. Like many of their hits, it was written by the Holland–Dozier–Holland team. The group released the song on July 25, 1966 as the second single from their album, 'The Supremes A' Go-Go'.

This tune was a hit on both sides of the Atlantic. It held the #1 spot on the 'U.S. Billboard Hot 100' chart and 'U.S. Billboard R&B Singles' chart as well as the #3 spot on the U.K. Singles chart. The song has since been covered by several artists such as Phil Collins and Stray Cats.
