I spent so much time thinking Starla was the only great song in here but I was so damn wrong! Well, at least I still have a great SP album to discover.

It took me two years to realize that this is actually the best pumpkins record.

Probably one of the greatest compilation albums of all time. Really has a great flow and feels like it could be an actual studio album. In fact, if somebody had this album without knowing any background of the band they would probably think it was a normal studio record. This has some of the greatest SP moments on it. Their early 90's material just had something that the later stuff lacked. Heart, Soul, Psychedelic Vibes.

Imagine if Siamese Dream had been a double album and this was the second disc. That'd've been pretty cool.

"Some interview with Corgan from the 90s I read said that he discarded a bunch of surefire hits when recording Adore to achieve a more consistent feel/ebb and flow for the overall album. Even though this was before Adore (and therefore worthwhile) I assume that's why these songs are so fantastic. It's probably not a matter of the band not feeling they were worthy, but tracks that had to make way for the greater good." He did this throughout his whole career. check out the b-sides from MCIS and have a listen to Machina II.

Their most intimate and best record, despite being from disparate albums, this record more than any other, captures the essence of the band perfectly.

This album sounds like it would sound great while driving through the desert. It just gives off that vibe to me

the smashing pumpkins b-sides and deep album tracks were always far far more worthy and important to me than any singles they released. this exemplefies that. see also the Judas O disc which came with original pressings of the greatest hits cd.

this is pretty good, some solid tracks, but despite what some critics say i dont think this is nearly half as good as their actual albums, its clearly a b-sides record in every way. good but not totally awesome by any stretch of the imagination.

Oh yes! I've got the yellow vinyl of this masterpiece. Too bad I just don't have the "Not Worth Asking" "7 that came with it.

it doesn't matter that this is a collection of b-sides and not a proper studio album...i think it's an example of their songwriting at its purest. much more raw, much more visceral. i definitely prefer this over siamese dream and feel it's grossly underrated. soothe is perfection.
