In August 1992, the Brand New Heavies released their album ”Heavy Rhymes Experience, Vol 1”, which featured the original version of “Soul Flower” with their Delicious Vinyl labelmates from The Pharcyde.
In November 1992, The Pharcyde released their first album with J-Swift providing this uptempo remix, and the song also features some different lyrics than the original.
