I truly believe that this is absolutely one of the best metal records of the last decade.

"Paleozoic Era, also spelled Palaeozoic, major interval of geologic time that began 541 million years ago with the Cambrian explosion, an extraordinary diversification of marine animals, and ended about 252 million years ago with the end-Permian extinction, the greatest extinction event in Earth history." I would argue that this extraordinary diversification, followed by the greatest extinction event in Earth history actually does sound very intense. I love this album!!!

Took me almost a year to write this shout, as this release really made me put out The Ocean from my mind: Initial thoughts on this record were lukewarm and slightly disappointed. I hope that it will keep growing on me as I try getting into it again. Also the knowledge of this having a sister release in the future, more confirms the incompleteness that I experience with this record. I want to like every The Ocean release, but like with the MONO collab this just falls flat in my ears.

This has gone from being one of my favourite albums of last year to being one of my favourite albums of all time. I can't stop listening!

It's incredible how this record sounds! Every single second is beautiful and amazing. Devonian and Permian are definitely 2 of the tracks of the year for me.

See how Devonian has far fewer plays? Fuck whoever formatted the fucking artist that way. Have some fucking consistency!

This is the only album SINCE Pelagial so of course it's the best since then (surely the EP in 2015 doesn't count?)... But yeah, it's brilliant!
